Anyone who broke the law should get nothing beneficial. That includes the employers who hired on illegal aliens at slave wages.
Actually, those guys should be prosecuted for violating the anti-slavery statutes and then sent to a hard-times prison busting rocks with a hammer.
"W" and his cronies best get over the idea that being sent back to Mexico is some sort of punishment ~ it really isn't ~ on a world scale. Mexico is still one of the better places to live ~ beats the devil out of Sudan (for example).

It was foreordained to pass years ago by the Star Chamber. Criticism is irrelevant.

we recognize that youre here illegally and theres a consequence for it.Must be some awfully terrible consequences, what with the illegal alien lobby pushing so hard to pass this bill.

I feel it, George! I feel what I'm getting already!!

Bush brushes off the remaining 30% of voters...
Heck with them.
They only put him in office. What do they know.

Has anyone began to wonder if we made a mistake in 2000 by not going with someone else? Lamar Alexander, Alan Keyes, or even Lizzie Dole would have all been better in the long run than the big-spending, non-vetoing, presider over corruption and shamnesty, Senor Jorge Bush.

Just think of all the times conservatives stood behind and rallied to Bush's defense.
When Gore tried to hijack the Presidency
The "Bush lied" campaign
2004 National Guard stories
The War in Iraq
SS reform
We overlooked his record spending, his "reaching out" to the Democrats, his failure to respond to his critics...

Certainly we need better border enforcement, but the real key is to enforce our internal laws.
Fine and punish the employers.
No school, health benefits, or welfare payments to illegals, beyond limited emergency services.
The problem is not just the border, but the financial incentives to come here. We need to lean on the politicians at every level to enforce the laws.

I assume Bush is also planning to give amnesty to the illegal immigrants plotting terrorist attacks at Fort Dix in NJ and Kennedy Airport in NY?
There are hundreds of thousands of illegal MUSLIMS in this country. These Muslim illegals also qualify for amnesty.
And recall you can’t send somebody down to Gitmo once they have the “rights” of citizenship.

Bush may brush off criticism since he is not running for office again but the congresscritters will do the same at their own peril.

President Bush has not been hindered by heavy criticism of an immigration bill that would legalize millions of unlawful immigrants. Instead, he pressed harder for its support on Friday
The gift that keeps on giving. What a loon.
