In addition to Lurker Laura's energetic support of our troops, Cindy_True_Supporter (CTS) was also whooping it up with Lurker Laura. The Title length restricted adding her.
The Grumpies, all 4 of them, were even more grumpy this week with Lurker Laura and CTS's most excellent energy. BELOW LEFT: Just like at Walter Reed, Lurker Laura kept up her activity for our whole FReep. BELOW RIGHT: Lurker Laura and CTS. They had their own chant going. CTS would yell while overly exaggerating pointing to the moonbats "al-Qaida Supporters Over There", and then Lurker Laura would yell back while overly exaggerating, pointing to us, "Troop Supporters Over Here". The passing cars definitely heard them this week.
Oh yea, the new banner in the above right pic (by Albion Wilde) also helped make the Grumpies more grumpy. The banner had its first appearance at the GATHERING OF EAGLES at UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA-CHAPEL HILL. With this new banner, Olney now has 5 banners that go all around our corner. Every passing vehicle has a clear view of a banner.
BELOW: Lurker Laura with the more sedate [Mr] T. Jeez, I was sure feeling my membership in the "Half Century Club" standing next to Lurker Laura. Wish Flat BufordP was here. He would cheer me up!!
There were 7 FReepers and Lurkers in attendance today. They were Cindy_True_Supporter, (CTS), Lurker Bill, (aka Lurker Bill from MD on Walter Reed AARs), Lurker Laura and Lurker Bob, a Walter Reed patient, Legionnaire Glenn, an Iwo Jima Vet, the better half of the 'Trooprally' screen name, ([Mrs] T), and myself ([Mr] T).
Pics by [Mrs] T and Lurker Bob.
BELOW LEFT: CTS and [Mrs] T. With the extra camera at Olney, [Mrs] T is able to get into the pics. BELOW RIGHT: Legionnaire Glenn with Lurker Laura behind him. Glenn said that Lurker Laura was so energetic that he had to turn down his hearing aid. Others are on the grass setting up the last of the banners.
BELOW LEFT: Lurker Bill acknowledging honks and waves. BELOW RIGHT: CTS, Lurker Laura and me in far back ground.
BELOW: Some of the passing vehicles that we received waves and honks. One police car whooped his siren as he went around our corner.
The moonbats' corner was invaded by Lurker Bob this week. They complained to him about being there until he explained he was a Walter Reed patient.
BELOW LEFT: The moonbats up close and [fill in your own description] personal. BELOW RIGHT: New moonbat sign.
After our FReep, we went to Dave's American Bistro for lunch. This is the restaurant that had a day long appreciation event for a local NG unit and all military personal. BELOW: Lurker Bob showing his humorous side.
For FYI, there was no Olney FReep last Saturday since we were all down at GoE II. This was the first week with no boots on the corner after 73 straight weeks.

Next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108 in Olney

Lurker Laura rocks! She’s an American babe!
I gotta agree with Thebaddog — Lurker Laura is a treasure!
Thanks for the great report and for another successful FReep of the Olney Moonbats!
Absolutely. We know when she comes out to Walter Reed because her voice is so distinctive, but in a real good way.
[Mr] T
Boy, that has a sour ring to it!!
[Mr] T

I’m pretty sure it was Laura we gave some red, white and blue pom-poms on Friday night at Walter Reed. She had them is shreds in about 90 minutes. She’s that full of pep.
She's a gem!

Looker Laura is a dynamo and Cindy holds her own as well. We’re lucky to have these two great supporters. They’d make Molly Pitcher proud.

I deployed with the Bravo Company last time, and sadly moved up to battalion HQ for this latest deployment. They’re a great bunch of motivated guys, and represent Montgomery County well.
