I've said for years that if Conservatives want a landslide win, I have an idea. Force a vote in both Houses of Congress on reparations for descendants of slaves. It will force the Dems and RINOS to vote "Yea" and alienate white America or vote "Nay" and piss off their black support.
It's a win-win situation for Conservatives.

I think you're correct. But unfortunately that likely means the seat goes RAT.

Northern Virginia is going blue, largely due to the influx of blue-staters moving here. Even the Republicans moving here from those states are "moderate" to slightly left of centers (e.g., Giuliani, Brownback, etc. supporters).

But George Allen is not running for the Senate in 2008.

'Tis a pity that Mr. Allen probably won't run again. But once can still hope, right?

While it’s a cute idea, I don’t know how many Republican senators you plan to purge and still expect to hold 40 seats. Some of those senators, poor as they are, represent states that aren’t exactly GOP strongholds.

Once you lose enough seats to sate your blood-lust, you’ll find the Dems can then ramrod whatever they want without enough opponents to even filibuster.

I agree. I will NOT vote for Senator Warner under ANY circumstances. I may vote for president next year, but if Warner is on the ballot, I will skip the senatorial vote.
