"You approve of corruption, you are corrupt."
I don't approve of it but I am willing to separate the facts from the fear mongering.

"The people I compete against pay UNDER the table and I dont mind telling you its getting almost impossible to compete."
Well those clearly are not the ones talked about in the article. They were using stolen SS#s which would only be necessary to the employer was withholding taxes.

I don't approve of it You certainly don't seem perturbed in the least, either. It all boils down to values. I value my country over profit. You value profit over your country.

Another thread has the story of Utah starting to have to notify 20K citizens that their SS # may have been stolen, and that their credit rating may have been damaged. Just stealing the identities that fellow citizens don’t want to steal.

If you replace every single illegal alien with an unemployed person, you still end up with millions of jobs unfilled. Then you bring in LEGAL aliens to fill those positions. You give them temporary visas renewable only if the job they take cannot be filled by an American citizen or legal permanent resident. Once they arrive, they can get in line to seek permanent status.

Exactly, and if the requirement is 10 to investigate, they will claim 9. I’m not just saying illegals, I’m saying any dishonest person.
I know lots of states require copies of the W-4 if a certain amount of exemptions is taken (varies by state) but what they do with the information is questionable.

"Thats simply not true"
Which part?
"guest worker should not be able to take advantage of our social systems ..."
I see no reason that a guest worker should not have to agree to pay into the system (SS taxes etc) for the duration of their stay as part of the deal.

While I agree the headline is misleading, like many we see applied by various editors on the left and right, cases of actual entitlement, disability and credit card fraud have occurred based on theft of social security information from unsuspecting legal citizens or residents in country.

Should I rant, rave and spread disinformation like others? Would that make me a good American in your eyes?

"cases of actual entitlement, disability and credit card fraud have occurred based on theft of social security information from unsuspecting legal citizens or residents in country."
Yes, there have been cases, too many cases. The solution however is not to put a band-aid on the symptom (illegals) but to fill the available jobs with legitimate documented workers with their own taxpayer Ids.

Headlines, very often, are little more then poorly constructed sentence fragments used to get the reader’s attention.
In this case it says “stealing social securities of elderly, dead” which seems pretty accurate as far as headlines go. It just leaves out little kids. Probably because they can’t vote. Yet.

“Well, those are clearly not the ones talked about in the article.”
It’s nice you can compartmentalize things like that, but I beg to differ with you. SSN or no SSN we’re talking about illegals ability to work in this country-—one way or another. Or to put it another way—by hook or crook.

It's not accurate at all. No "social securities" were stolen. Social security numbers were stolen not the accounts themselves.
If someone steals your bank account number and deposits cash in it, it's still fraud, but not a theft of your account.

It is the facts of the case in question which do not match those of the case you described. They are not only not the same situation, they differ in the very detail under discussion, that being payment or not of SS taxes.

I did a half-hour nighttime interview on a Portland radio station, Tuesday night. I suggested to the host that there were three solutions to the Mayor's actions. First, he could be prosecuted for violating federal law by aiding illegal activity. Not very likely.
Second, the citizens of Portland could use the recall provisions to throw the Mayor out of office.
Third, everyone does nothing until a sufficient number of Portland citizens have been murdered by illegal aliens committing additional crimes, or killed on the streets by illegals driving drunk. Then, the citizens will remove the Mayor with pitchforks and torches.

You do realize that the written word is a lie, do you not? Whatever the case, illegal invaders from any country are a menace.
And stealing a SS number is akin to stealing someone’s identity so you seem to be quibbling over quibbles.

You have that right, but the worst part is having the chump syndrome set in. I don’t have time to go to jail, but my copetitors don’t seem to worry. Guess I now know they’re part of the cabal.

This part!
I commend you for the first honest attempt to find a solution on the thread yet.
Making them contribute to SS and there by being able to draw from it fixes nothing it simply adds to a problem already out of hand.
