As promised, our student journalists returned today with copies of her school newspaper. I have to admit, she does follow up when she says she'll do something. Not like the MSM who prints half truths. Better yet, she did a real good and fair write up.
She reported what we said, both sides, and didn't put her opinion in what we said. She said that the Warrior web site will have the article, but as of the writing of this AAR, it has not been put up yet. There is a note on the web site about it being under reconstruction. Any ways, our journalist does not have responsibility over posting on the web site. So keep checking to see if it has been put up yet.
Also, the two pictures in the article were of us.
So kudos to her and the Warrior for a good article.
The newspaper also had a poll asking which corner the students would stand on. Out of 103 students, 52 (50.5%) said they would stand on OUR corner. Computes as a majority to me.
I need to make some corrections from the previous Olney AAR when she interviewed us. I noted that it seemed that the moonbats wrote down questions to ask us. The moonbats were just writing down those on their side. The questions were written by the journalists. She had received answers to some and was looking over the rest and asking parts that she hadn't received info on.
Also, we removed the links to her pics on the last thread. This is because we did not ask her if we could post her pics and she asked, as a minor, to have her pics removed. Fair enough but she has also been informed that as a journalist on a public street, and as she gets older, her pictures will be fair game.
Also, JimRob and Kristinn, I was noted in the article as being in charge of the FReepers. I whole heartily relinquish my position to you both. :-)) I think she meant that I was in charge of the Olney FReepers under the D.C. Chapter rules.
The remainder of the FReep went very well. We out numbered the moonbats, 6 to 5. FReepers and Lurkers in attendance today were Lurker Bill, (aka Lurker Bill from MD on Walter Reed AARs), and daughter, VictoryNY, R.T. Delta, the better half of the 'Trooprally' screen name, ([Mrs] T), and myself ([Mr] T).
Pics are by [Mrs] T.
A special video put together over the last two FReeps by R.T. Delta make for great viewing. Thanks RTD
BELOW: An excellent pic showing all 5 of our banners and their arrangement. Basically the banners follow the curve of our corner so ALL passerbys see at least one banner. Banner No. 5 is attached to the light pole behind Lurker Bill, a yellow sign's arrow points to it.
BELOW LEFT: Lurker Bill's daughter puts together a banner while dad helps set up the other banners. BELOW RIGHT: Proud Dad
BELOW LEFT: VictoryNY in her ever enthuiastic support. Last week our Iwo Jima Vet had to turn down his hearing aid because of her enthusiasm. BELOW RIGHT: VictoryNY and Lurker Bill's daughter make a great team. VictoryNY grabs passerby's attention and if they haven't honked yet, L. Bill's daughter's sign gets a big honk. The two sure do know how to work a corner.
TOKEN MOONBAT PIC
Moonbats thinking as they put up their banner, "For criminy sakes! How the h@!! does this thing go together?" and the other looking at the blank poster, "I think we forgot something".
REMEMBER
Next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108 in Olney
NEW TIME - 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
But a lot of verbal engagement in Olney is always welcome. Where is Mr. Bull Horn when we need him?
If you live in northern VA and want a short cut to Olney See Post 39 Here. It's an easy 20 minute drive from the American Legion Bridge.
A special Thanks to a FReeper FRiend for enhancing the original plain type directions.
The Archive of Olney FReeps is here or in the LINKS section of Trooprally's ABOUT Page.
WEATHER UPDATES HERE.

BUMP and a big HORN TOOT for OLNEY!
Pinging the DC Chapter to a must see video by greatly Gifted Freeper R.T. Delta.
If Olney and Washington, DC are too far for you to travel to show support for our troops, pick a street corner in your locale and do it there. People will join you. Troops, veterans and their families will see you and will appreciate your messages of love and support.
God Bless and Protect our troops.
Great report. Thanks for all you do!
Great report as always! You ROCK!!! :-)
Mr. T, Bill, all, Happy Father’s day.
Terrific video, R.T.!
Thanks Albion
No pics on the web though. But the front page had a small pic of [Mrs] Trooprally, Cindy_True_Supporter, and GunsAreOK infront of our red banner. The larger inside pic with the article shows Cindy with her famous “Where Is The Protest Against Violent Jihad” sign.
[Mr] T
Thanks for the kudos from the Olney FReepers.
[Mr] T
It will be a mixed Father’s Day. Our son takes off for Iraq this Saturday, stopping in Kuwait first to pick up his gear. He’s flying non-stop (he doesn’t like flying and he wants to get it over with) so he should have his first day in the Mid East on Sunday.
A proud father,
[Mr] T
Great report with some sun-shiny pics!
This is a peace vigil to honor the living and the dead and also to try and stop the war, because its wrong she explains.
Lucky for her there are people willing to die for our freedom so that she has the "right" to protest.
The real question...
Very good article. I hope the author continues to like journalism. She knows how to get and write a story. See you next Friday, I hope.
Hope so, too!
Mrs. & Mr. T,
Will keep your Marine in thoughts and prayers.
When you get an address, please PM me.
Will send some care packages.
