Michael Savage Fans Plague C-Span With Emails Just a few of the offensive emails aimed at C-Span management for not airing a speech by conservative radio host Michael Savage.
Oh, for a second I thought you were telling them to do it, not that you were reporting that they had done it. Foolish, really.
This happened almost two weeks ago.
Well, Drudge just linked the video this afternoon, so I guess its fifteen minutes of fame is restarting.
Besides, emails like that are timeless!
Brian Lamb really showed a lack of character by reading aloud only the worst of the worst emails—many of which were very profane, and read during a family hour—in an attempt to simply smear Savage. Lamb made no effort to defend his own network’s censorship. Truly a profile in cowardice.
Of course Lamb cherry-picks the most crude emails, probably sent by trolling libs.
I just did a little check - this video is from June 15. Lamb also mentioned that he might read some more on tomorrow’s show.
Here’s C-Spin for you. A couple of weeks ago, I called in (as I do regularly) to participate in a Q/A session on ILLEGAL immigration. My point was that C-Spin should focus on the opinions of Americans and LEGAL immigrants and ignore the illegals, as the altter have no locus standi on these discussions.
I was told by the screener that the entire 1-hour segment was for ILLEGALS ONLY and that my opinions wouldn’t be entertained that day. She disconnected the phone when I tried to ask why...LOL.

I just found a much longer clip, with more letters read by Lamb. It has a lot more explanation (from Lamb’s side) of what is happening between him and Mr. Weiner.

Ping. More of the Doc Savage and Brian Lamb dustup.
In a related issue, I happened on the local NPR radio station a few weeks back and couldn’t believe the blatant bias in the coverage. I listened for four or five days on my commute because it was like a comedy routine. I made a game of predicting their spin on why good news was acually bad or how far they could stretch to blame some local or unrelated problem on Bush. Often they would outdo even my most cynical prediction.

I play that game all the time. NPR is incredibly liberal. Even my liberal friends (yes, I have several) admit that there is a bias at the station. All of their stories are about the following topics:
1) The administration’s bad environmental policy
2) Racism in America
3) The already-lost war in Iraq
4) Alternative life styles
5) The plight of Palestinians.
C-SPAN receives no tax dollars. The cable companies fund it.
It does show many conservative speakers and events (I believe that it televised parts of CPAC). The weekend Book TV section can have interesting people on.
It may lean left, but is not a total waste of time.
Entire program here first 30 min or so..

“The irony is that the award that Savage won was called the “Freedom of Speech” award, his speech was the event of the evening, and our leftist friends at CSPAN shut the cameras off and left as soon as his speech started.<
The irony is Savage did not give a speech that night. It was pretaped he was not even there.CSPAN carries live events not pretaped pieces.
They honored Savage at an important award show that he didn’t even show up for. Instead, he sent them a DVD of himself giving a speech. He wanted C-SPAN to play it. How stupid is that. I really can’t blame C-SPAN.
