Gardasil has booth in WalMart
Self | June 23, 2007 | DJMacWoW

Hubby went to WalMart in Pennsylvania today. At the main entrance is a Gardasil booth handing out pamphlets. There was a line of parents so Hubby started a rant. He asked the woman why not just teach your daughters to keep their knickers on? Her answer was because they won't. Hubby responded that our daughter is in her 20's and still a virgin. She responded that daughters lie. He offered to let our "female tiger" talk to her.

At that point the woman asked if he was on his cellphone. He said "Yes" And how about this not being tested on 9 to 11 yr olds, your target group" She responded that it's been tested on 12 year olds. He said "You have no idea what the longterm affects of this drug are on reproduction"

At that point she didn't want to spar anymore and said "It's safe". But by then Hubby had already planted doubts and the parents in line had heard it all. I LOVE Hubby.

Anyone else need to visit a WalMart today?

I’m upset that this was at Walmart. Sam must be spinning in his grave.

That’s not what the original poster was talking about at all and you know it.

Uh, last time I checked it was pretty hard for boys to get cervical cancer.

But they can get HPV. If this is a vaccine against the virus, shouldn't it be tested on men as well?

Then again, if a Bible-thumper's daughter ends up with an STD-related cancer, I'm sure there are a few passages of scripture that can be quoted..."wages of sin are death," etc.

Well, since this particular dad has obviously taught his daughter that this particular STD can cause cancer, perhaps she will be one of those who actually keeps herself pure until marriage.

In the meantime, parents are being lead down the primrose path by this pharmaceutical company, making them believe this vaccine will prevent cervical cancer (which it won't.)

All of the times that I went on and on about what I had learned! I thought he wasn’t listening. LOL

I was shocked that it was WalMart. They must not have been listening when this broke in the news. I wonder if it is just this WalMart or all of them?

Men can get cancer from HPV too. And they can spread HPV.

Only girls are getting the treatment. Why? Because they can claim its a “women’s reproductive rights” issue?

When it was mandatory in some states, how did that defend “rights”?

It’s nice to see I have at least one kindred spirit on here. I’m sure we’ll both be banned shortly.

It's nice to see that you kindred spirits are both on here not really discussing facts, but just bashing "Bible thumpers", as you call them. I, for one, don't want you banned, it's too entertaining.

You anti-religion bigotry is showing. I fail to see where the original poster mentioned any religion. You jumped straight to your attack line - a classic liberal ploy.

The posters were merely arguing that their daughters are better than dogs. They can apparently control their urges. You and your poster buddy apparently cannot.

It was more of a general rant actually. If that was truly the point, I apologize. What the hell is your husband doing disclosing your daughter’s sexual history to strangers though?

How did the mandate for young girls to take this vaccine go in Texas?

Those parents with autistic children regret having given their children the mandated vaccine with Mercury.

How dare you question my faith? Seriously. You’re the one crying bigotry, liberal.

You apparently question your own faith. Why would I have to do so?

personally i would have gone into walmart and informed the manager that i was leaving to go call the main headquarters and ask why walmart was allowing this booth to be out front....then i would have called and asked...kudos to your hubby...but we need to follow through and let our rants hurt where the pocket is.

How is a 16-year-old competent enough to make a fully-informed deicision about a drug being tested on her? How can she possibly give her permission and it be legally valid, seeing as how she’s underage?

Actually this subject doesn't need a "Bible rant". Hubby certainly wasn't using Scripture. Just common sense. The facts are scary and don't need anything more than simple disclosure.

What the hell is your husband doing disclosing your daughter’s sexual history to strangers though?

Daughter says to tell you that "virgin" isn't a dirty word and that she has higher expectations for herself than to be a "mattress pad" and "bragging rights".

You don’t give a prepubescent girl a drug that isn’t proven safe for the age group. What affect will it have on reproduction? They don’t know. Is one shot enough? They don’t know. My kid isn’t a guinea pig or a goldmine for Merck.

@@@@@

$360 for the planned series of three shots for about 1or 2 million girls every year is definitely a gold mine for Merck. If I owned their stock, I would have to sell it! just to feel clean again.

3 deaths plus hundreds of serious adverse reactions have been recorded, but that will never get mentioned to gullible parents and corrupt legislators.

Apparently, it does not give a lifetime immunity either, so if a 12 year old gets the injections and stays a virgin until she is 20, she might as well have not gotten the shots. What a scam!
