OSKALOOSA, Iowa — Democrat Barack Obama said Wednesday that while he thinks highly of former President Clinton, voters weary of Washington-style political wrangling want to avoid "the same old thing" as Campaign 2008 unfolds.

"I admire Bill Clinton, I think he did a lot of fine things as president and he's a terrific political strategist," the Illinois senator said in an interview with The Associated Press. "What we're more interested in is in looking forward, not looking backward. I think the American people feel the same way. They are looking for a way to break out of the harsh partisanship and the old arguments and solve problems."

Go, Osama-Obama, Go!

Keep saying the words "Old," "Thing," and "Hillary" in the same sentence!

I can't think of one off hand. Can you give me a list, Hussein?

I loved it the day the first and second families were humiliated by a little bitty old nun and only wanted to inspect the tops of their shoes and be out of her presence as quickly as possible. The made my respect for Mother Theresa complete.

Well, there is one thing Clinton did for which he deserves some praise: Welfare reform. Of course, the bad things he did far outweigh it.

I don’t believe that he would have gotten rid of welfare as it then existed with a lot of pushing from the American people via the Republican congress that we elected during his presidency. We forget that we can be heard because we let punks like Hitlery, Karl Lenin, the swimmer, Babushka, and Reparations John talk down to us.

The Republican Congress under Gingrich made welfare reform happen. Clinton just went along with it once it became inevetable, after first resisting it.

This guy has nothing to offer but platitudes and cliches. Only a complete idiot would hear him and think he is actually saying something. Fortunately for Obama, most Americans are idiots or even stupider; driven by emotions and looking for a president that makes them feel good.

Perhaps you forgot, but Clinton was brought "kicking and screaming" to welfare reform, he was totally against it until Dick Morris told him that position was a political loser.

With that remark Obama is going to learn a costly lesson — you don’t incur the wrath of Clinton Inc and live for long...often literally.

Which is why it was very appropriate that they made that video comparing themselves to a mob family.

He didn't do this voluntarily. It was crammed down his throat by a Republican congress.

. . . you don’t incur the wrath of Clinton Inc and live for long . . .

My thoughts exactly. If he's going to say stuff like this, he should avoid walks in parks after dark.

The only thing that would be riskier would be to get elected . . . with Hillerbeast as his vice.

Osama (or is it Obama, I never get that right) should play the race card, which is what RATS love to do.

He should say, “Clinton was the first black President and he had white skin. I’ll be the second black President, and I have tan skin. Eventually we’ll have a third black President, and he or she will be a true darkie. But this way we’ll get there in shades.”
