The paramilitary mentality which is increasingly monopolizing law-enforcement agencies in the U.S. does not want to share power with the average citizen.

A very profound observation. My call-in to a local show with a former Highway Patrolman was evidence of such an attitude.

As to their paramilitary appearance, they seem better suited to perform a Baghdad intervention than a "serve and protect" mission in your typical US city. Are they Claire Voyent?

"When seconds count, the police are only minutes away".

I first saw it as a bumpersticker. It stuck.

Its chief, James Doak, said that the potential for strife is considerable among its 14,000 18-to-22 years-olds - whether it is stress of exams, girlfriend problems or simply hot tempers.

Add guns to the equation and the combination could be lethal.

"We cannot rely on students who have not been drilled in these situations to respond properly. Would they freeze up? Would they have a sense of terror in their hearts so they respond inappropriately?" he says.

"Our officers have a level of life experience which students can't possibly have at the age of 21 or 22."

I nominate Chief Doak as asshat of the week.

“Where have all the patriots gone?”

Iraq, cemetaries or nursing homes.

The average American today is a perfect Eloi to the Red Chinese and globalist/leftist Morlocks.

Andrew Sugg here.

Unfortunately due to restraints I can’t mention my exact background. Lets just say I’ve got more training and trigger time than an Army soldier, not to mention being awarded something called the Governor’s Twenty from Texas.

The worst thing about this entire event and the other articles and interviews that I have done is that the Chief of Police here at Baylor has yet to answer any of my e-mails and he has chosen to disappear every time I go to the DPS office on campus to talk to him.

And yes the entire Baylor police force has a God complex larger than a fighter pilot’s. Which was sad when I had to retrieve my weapons and ammo from their vault to only find rounds missing and clean guns dirty.
