Parts of the West got blasted last week with triple-digit temperatures. Hot weather hits the East today, with temperatures in Central Park expected to reach the mid-90s.
So how hot is too hot before you drop? Theres no one answer, and much depends on age and physical condition.
--snip--
The danger zone begins at a heat index of 104 degrees, when, with prolonged exposure, sunstroke, heat cramps or heat exhaustion are likely, and when heat stroke, which can be deadly, is possible.
A heat index of 126 or higher is extremely dangerous. And it is not as hard to reach as it might sound. A temperature of 92 degrees with a relative humidity of 85 percent puts you there.

Hey they cut off the chart before it got to proper western humidities, where’s my 105 with 8%?!
Do have a link to this forecast? I don't have any problem with the temp but I just find the RH at that temp to be hard to accept. Of course, if it rains, the humidity will go up to around 100%. But the rain will bring the temp way down. I'd just like to this forecast.
At noon today, Key West is Temp 91, RH 53. Must not be a typical summer day.

It’s a real temp of 101 in DC. That’s hot enought for me.
