It is impossible to enforce immigration laws when the majority of the three branches of Government are dead set against it.

Maybe it’s just impossible to enforce ANY law?

Murder, stealing, rape etc..

So why have laws?

Because you can’t have anarchy. Not everyone will get caught but you need BOUNDARIES in any CIVILIAZED society.

ENFORCE immigration laws NOW and add new ones as Arizona did - it’s WORKING!

How do we know its ‘impossible’ when we have yet to attempt it uniformly?

Why isn’t it “impossible” to enforce the tax laws? There are many more tax-payers than illegals, but sheer volume doesn’t seem to deter the IRS from trying to catch tax cheats.

Of course it is possible to enforce immigration laws. Only an idiot or someone with an agenda against enforcing them would say "there are too many here already, therefore nothing can be done." The problem is that there are too many politicians who oppose enforcing them out of personal gain or their own private agenda.

The millions can be deported through direct and indirect means quite easily. Eisenhower did it.

Its impossible to enforce laws against theft, rape and murder. People still commit those crimes so we should give up enforcing those laws. Its too costly and to damned hard when those laws keep getting broken.

The whole "disproportionate effect" theory is nothing but muddled Warren Court thinking. It's true that it still infects parts of the Executive branch (all those EEOC organizations, and their ilk founded in the 1960's) but as we just saw recently, we have a new Supreme Court, that says that racism is what it is intended to be, not the result of unintended consequences.

As long as a law is race-neutral on its face, John Roberts will make sure that it is upheld, without regard to the fact that it appears to hit one group more than another.

It’s not impossible to enforce the laws. Just do it. The arguments against it phony and disingenuous and should be exposed for that.

If it’s going to involve 12,000,000 law cases, it will be impossible. Cut the red tape...No papers...Back you go!! No court, no attorneys, no more free lunch.

is it impossible? let's see... if there were 20m illegals, and there were only 5m deportations each year, that would still be less people then are issued speeding tickets each year... and they don't have any trouble going after those people.

no one is saying you could do it in a single year...but you could do it over 5 or 10. end result, the problem gets solved, which is what everyone wants... unless you are here illegally (or hoping to get something from the illegals)

it's a conflict of interest to ask the government to do something that is unpopular with a segment of the population... when elections are decided by 2 or 3%, they could swing by that same population segment

“PC” is the impediment to enforcement of existing laws and to the introduction of new laws.

“PC” IS the ‘soft underbelly’ of America, and the entire world knows it.

No need for an army, technologically superior weapons, or anything else. Our enemies will own us before it’s over. If the Communists only knew, way back during the cold war, if they would just have allowed Soviets leave who wanted to, they would all have come here and be in control by now...no shots fired!

Lawmakers believe there is more political power in passing more and more laws than overseeing that the present laws are enforced. The problem is voters have yet to disabuse the political whores of that very quaint notion.

illegals have shown a propensity for cramming 15 or more people into one three-bedroom home,

A few years back a 'family' bought a 3 bedroom single family house near me. Within a few months it was packed to the rafters with grandparents, aunts uncles and their brood. Calls to the village by neighbors about zoning violations went no place.

Then one weekend night (Sunday IIRC) when the clan was out somewhere the house went up in flames when the garage 'caught on fire'.

The cause of the fire was never determined. Oh, they never moved back. A 'single family' moved into the rebuilt house.

(these were Indians, not Latins but the point is the same)

I dunno... They seem to have no problems enforcing the unenforceable (and incomprehensible) tax laws...

We are neck deep in a political correctness quagmire. This war against ILLEGAL vs. LEGAL vs. liberalism gone amuck should never have been started. Operation Mock the Law is in full battle mode and our side is waving their white underwear of surrender, being led by none other than our Commander in Briefs. For the life of me, I do not understand. I will never get it.

In a civilized society, the citizens depend on each other to obey the laws VOLUNTARILY. Most do. This enables the police to control the lawbreakers. Without a vast amjority of people who obey the law, the whole system breaks down.
Of course the US will no longer be a civilized society if we allow too many lawbreakers to avoid punishment. Or are we there now?

Simple test. ANY group, whether it be Latinos, Arab Muslims, whatever...that claims themselves FIRST by their ethnicity before claiming to be Americans...is a threat to our Republic and should be expunged.

I don’t care if someone says the WORD Mexican-American, as long as their loyalties still lie to America before any other country or before their “Latinoness.”
