You’re welcome, Norm. Notice in the photo of them in the park that Ella has her hand wrapped around daddy’s thumb. Only 3 weeks old, and she already has daddy right where she wants him. :)

Okay ...... starting 12th this week. Now, if they can stay outta these other knucklehead drivers' screw-ups, they could put that 43 in a good spot.

If you listened to his scanner at every race he was not waxing poetic about his father or TEresa, he was cussing out the crappy car many times.

Perhaps you need to broaden your understanding of "melancholy?"

When one is melancholy, one does not need to "wax poetic." One can get angy easily. One can become remorseful. One can just be silent. One can just give up easily. All are classic signs of melancholy.

RE: DEI "p.o.s." cars

BWA-HA-HA-HA!!!

I suspect Truex is currently proving there is not, nor has there ever been anything wrong with DEI's equipment.

I am curious, does Junior Nation drink Kool-Aid? ;-)

I WAS a Junior fan!

Annakin Skywalker Earnhardt, Jr. has gone over to the dark side, and in 2008 he will become DARTH VADER! Driving for the evil Emperor Rick Hendrick.

“Dooo-do-do-doo-doo! DOOO-DO-DO-DOO-DOO!”

He will come back to the light. But only after he has been vanquished in battle by a JeDEI knight.

Meet — 2008 NASCAR Champion Luke Truex, Jr.!

“Dooo-do-do-doo-doo! DOOO-DO-DO-DOO-DOO! Doot-do-do-doooo! Do-doot-do-dooo!”

;->

Yes, I am forty-seven years old, married for twenty-six years and with two grown sons, why do you ask? ;-)

Like I said, it is a good day. I get to keep drinking Bud and supporting Anheiser-Busch.

Funny thing, I wasn’t much of an Earnhardt fan all along altho Junior has had moments when I can pull for him and feel fine doing it, I must admit it hurt tho when Senior bit it, at least he went out doing what he loved.

I had you for a bit older than 47 ,, and Kudos for the 2 sons, especially the Marine. (I admit I am prejudiced a bit in saying that).

I’m gonna finish my Foster’s oilcan and hit the shower.

I just wonder, do you throw this crap at me because I’m a woman or because I am a fan of Dale Earnhardt Jr?

I don’t drink Kool Aid and you’re no psychiatrist either.

Why don’t you take over posting the Nascar threads I have scheduled for the rest of the year.

If you think there has never been anything wrong with DEI’s equipment then you are just plain wrong, because they have admitted it themselves.

Adios

WCG,

What I or anyone has to say in reply has nothing to do with who you are, what you are, or what you believe.

It is all about what you say.

Cheers!

Kevin

So Old Spice has bought the space in Smoke’s armpits to announce their new commemorative fragrance. What an opportunity for other companies!

Who is going to buy the seat of Kasey Kahne’s firesuit?

mostly to fideist;westcoastgal ‘cuz of their most recent difference of opinion.. but for public consumption as well

I usually ask folks or have asked folks to take ‘disputes’ offline and bring some finality to it there rather than bantering in public.

I understand folks exercising their opines and all and that’s OK... But

I would ask all the folks here to remember “It’s Just Racing!” ... and it t’warn’t hurt to be a bit considerate of your fellow seat holder in the stands.

If some think that is too controlling , then there are other threads or start your own or grow some thicker skin.. not necessarily in that order. :-)

Thanks!

I think you're both right. DEI went through a slump and their equipment hasn't been competitive until this season. I also think that poor equipment along with all the other things happening at DEI messed with Jr.'s attitude, though this season has been a big improvement. He's very competitive and to not do well on the track has got to be tough. He's also a pretty easy going guy, but he's had to deal with a lot. He certainly seems happier right now than he did this time last year.

Regardless, if he was happy where he was at DEI, there's no way anyone could lure him away from DEI. Both DEI and Dale Jr. are going through some positive changes and hopefully the rest of this season and 2008 will continue that trend. I want them all to do well.

Norm,

Thank you for your post, and I am of course going to comply.

I hope that everyone who decides to deride my favorite car make (Chevy), or my favorite race company (DEI), or my favorite sponsor (Bud), or my favorite driver (Truex) knows that they will encounter a vigorous, but light-hearted defense by me. ;-)
