He has 2.4 million dollars and a Gallup poll ranking of one half of one percent.

Hey, it's a start and it's still early in the race....

Yo, Ron, how about kickin’ a little of it over towards FreeRepublic? Then use some more of it to fund some of the privately built wall along the border?

Funny...I studied psychology in college, but I never heard of the Constitution referred to as a "mental affliction."

Only a wanna' be psychologist would try and compare the Constitution to a POTUS wanna' be as a topic of discussion.

So...how does that make you feel?

Which Southern state do you live in that qualifies you to make that statement, please, enlighten me, because I do live in a Southern state, and a few months ago, our paper, which for all intents and purposes, is a Republican paper, published a poll taken statewide that said that more than half of the residents in the state now are in opposition to the war in Iraq. There are a few kinds of Southern voters that are Republicans, but I think the best way to describe them are, people who actually voted for Republicans in general elections before Ronald Reagan, and people who did not become Republican voters for general elections (on a non-presidential level) until the Reagan era, and then the people who joined because Clinton angered them.

The people who have been Republicans the longest are the people who Paul’s message is going to appeal to. They by in large live in affluent areas in the major cities or in very affluent suburbs. They tend to be college educated, and they were long drawn to the Republican Party because it was not a party that historically pushed class antagonisms and at one time, it was the party of fiscal responsibility. In otherwords, these are the people who Barry Goldwater’s message resonated with.

The other kind of Southern Republican is the kind that is generally stereotyped in the media. In general, these people didn’t vote for Republicans in state elections in large numbers until the 1990s. They tend to support governments role in a variety of areas, considering their political heritage is populist and New Dealer. In large part, these voters make up the Religious Right coalition. They tend to reside in more working class and rural areas, areas that in this state were reliable for Democratic candidates on a state and local level until about a decade ago.

I personally know that I would prefer Ron Paul to appoint supreme court justices over any other candidate because he is the only one in the race with a concept of what the constitution is supposed to be. And this is how he can run. His message won’t sell with people who in 1976 voted for Jimmy Carter, it will have a chance of selling to people who voted for Gerald Ford that year.

I don't think he'll be President.

Now for crying out loud, what would promote such a mindset to tote?

LOL!

Only a wanna' be psychologist would try and compare the Constitution to a POTUS wanna' be as a topic of discussion. So...how does that make you feel?

You're the one who diagnosed him with mental issues. Did you reach that conclusion after establishing a doctor-patient relationship with Mr. Paul, repeated office visits consisting of various question-and-answer sessions, and finally analyzing possible symptoms using the DSM-IV...or are you just calling him crazy because you don't like him?

One does not have to be a psychologist to make a mental connection between the Constituton and a presidential candidate. Or to see that a respect for the Constitution and small government is not a "mental affliction."

That'll be $150 for the office visit. Please pay my secretary on the way out.

And STILL he hasn't sought out the best treatment available for his mental afflictions?

The concept of freedom, liberty and justice for all is a strange concept in today's USA, and might be perceived as a mental affliction.

If I don't then neither do you, so your accusation is just a smear. But as a point of fact I do know. So should you.

Campaign finances are a matter of public record, which is why this article was able to report in such detail on the fund raising and spending. Do you think McCain wants anyone to know how poorly he's doing financially (being surpassed by a "long-shot")? The entire Soros family has given about $15-$20 to candidates, mostly Barack Obama.

Fine for you. You say you think the South would support Paul and I say it will not and does not.

For the record I am in GA and believe me he has no presence in the this state except with a rabid minority that can’t crawl out of the 1 half of 1 per cent category.

GA still supports a war on terrorism and that means taking the war to them, not waiting for the terrorist to come here again.

Meeting Ron Paul supporters at political venues is always a treat, they are always the ones whirling around demanding retribution on one or the other politicians head. Every time I run into a Paul supporter they have a clip board in their hands wanting people to sign another petition usually against something, seldom for.

This kind of manic behavior tends to put off conservatives who want their candidates to at least have a hint of decorum. Plus it has a hint of the mindless fanaticism that the Dem’s always seem to be spouting.
