Hair comes the groomed [John Edwards aka Pink Sapphire]
The Australian ^ | July 14, 2007 | Geoff Elliott

Why does the elegant senator from North Carolina continue his run for the presidency? Washington correspondent Geoff Elliott reports:

POOR John Edwards. He follows Barack Obama on the podium at a conference of mostly anti-war Democrats and it's like watching air whistle out of a balloon.

Obama, a charismatic candidate for change in the mould of Bill Clinton and John F. Kennedy, has just worked the crowd brilliantly. Then Edwards walks in, a little later than scheduled at the Take Back America conference, thanks to an impromptu grab-and-grip show from Obama. Cameras are being pocketed again and seats resumed for what will turn out to be a polite and altogether less noisy reception. Which shows the value of political stagecraft, because it is Edwards's 2008 presidential platform, not Obama's, that best represents this crowd of fringe Democrats.

From the applause for Obama it would seem none of these wide-eyed activists understood that his call to "bring the troops home now" has an asterisk. It's a conditional plan, allowing plenty of room for the US to leave troops on the ground. With Edwards there's no doubting his troops-out-now call: "If I were president of the US today, what I would do is draw 40,000 to 50,000 troops out of Iraq immediately, out of the north and the south. I would continue to draw combat troops out of Iraq over the course of about the next 10 months," he says.

No asterisks, except for some awkward historical baggage that goes to the heart of Edwards's extraordinary about-face as he tries to craft himself as the pin-up boy for the Left.

“Obama, a charismatic candidate for change in the mould of Bill Clinton and John F. Kennedy”

...I’m pretty sure that JFK would be sickened at the notion that he was thrown into the same “mould” as Clinton and Obama. Other than sexual appetite, they couldn’t be further apart.

The only scenario I see for Edwards to win the RAT primary is that Hillary, fearing an Obama victory, orders and gets implicated in a successful Obama assassination. On second thought, the RATS would still nominate The Beast. What’s one more murder?

Forget about it. The only chance Breck Girl has of seeing the inside of the White House is if Bill is bi, and doesn’t mind the smell of hairspray.

Besides everything else wrong with Edwards, he has lousy, greasy hair. Why the fuss?

"Mmmmmm, maybe a touch more blush, and a splash of lip gloss.
Now let's see Hillary compete with this face.......and magnificent hair."
