Jihad Spence: Fred Thompson's Pan-Islamist Campaign Manager
DebbieSchlussel.com ^ | July 25, 2007 | Debbie Schlussel

As a Senator, he took marching orders from James Zogby of the pan-Islamist Arab American Institute, opposing profiling of Arabs, the use of secret evidence against Muslims (at the behest of Muslim groups), attempting to repeal the Clinton counterterrorism package, refusing to fund computer tracking of student and other foreign aliens, giving millions in our tax money right to Hezbollah, and putting CAIR on the map on Capitol Hill (taking the group's officials around to meet other Senators and Members of Congress). He took campaign contributions from the relatives of Hezbollah-backed top Lebanese officials after he got the group millions in our tax money.

Spence was one of only two Senators in the entire U.S. Senate who refused to sign a letter calling on President Clinton to condemn Palestinian terrorism and Yasser Arafat. This was at the height of a series of homicide bombings in Israel in 1999 and 2000.

As Energy Secretary, he gave top secret tours of nuclear facilities, as well as detailed information on how we secure them to Muslim nations who are our enemies. And he gave out undue post-9/11 awards to Al-Qaeda money-launderers . . . at the White House. The money launderers were raided by U.S. Customs Service agents.

After he left the Bush cabinet, Spence became a lobbyist for Mid-Eastern Muslim countries that practice the Arab boycott of Israel and don't really like us too much either. He took their money and until the Thompson race, did their bidding...

Abraham wasn’t hired to advise Fred on immigration or any other policy. He was hired to set up a competitive campain organization in Michigan, something he is very adept at doing.

Don’t belive anything that comes from a grown woman named “Debbie.”

Activist upset at Thompson's choice of campaign manager (One News Now article)

An Arab Christian and staunch critic of Islam says she cannot support Fred Thompson if the former Tennessee senator enters the presidential race.

Recently Thompson's communication director announced that former Michigan senator and U.S. Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham has joined Thompson's team in a major role that would be considered campaign manager.

Brigitte Gabriel is founder and president of the American Congress for Truth. She says as a senator, Abraham was a water-carrier for extremist Islamic groups. She says Abraham opposed profiling of Arabs and the use of secret evidence against Muslims, and he attempted to repeal the Clinton counter-terrorism package.

“He refused to fund computer tracking of students and other foreign aliens, giving millions in our tax money right to Hezbollah. And he is the one who put the Council on American-Islamic Relations on the map on Capitol Hill," says Gabriel.

Gabriel says this is not someone Fred Thompson should pick to run his campaign.

"How can we support a guy like Fred Thompson who picked this man to head up his team?” she asks. “Either Thompson is clueless about Abraham, which should immediately disqualify him for the White House and frighten all of us about how he makes decisions -- or he knows about Abraham and went with him anyway."

Thompson, who has not yet officially entered the race, reportedly might make a formal announcement around Labor Day.

Wow. A stupid “activist”. I’m shocked.

He’s NOT the campaign manager, and never has been.

Debbie is a shill for the Rutard, but she has a point here on Spence, who, btw, I was mistaken for when I was 30 lbs. heavier.

Do you have a point?
Why bring dhimmi onto your staff? This is a replay of Grover Al-Norquist from 2000.

Because he has NOTHING to do with any foreign policy or immigration policy.

In Washington, “personnel is policy” remains a maxim of politics, especially conservative politics.

No.

FRED is policy.

He’s made his views on Islamofascists and Israel crystal clear.

You mean like President George W Bush’s were prior to being president? Or what about President Bush’s claims that one is a terrorist if one supports then, while the CIA and FBI work with CAIR?

Thompson does seem to good to be true. But you never have to keep all your campaign promises really because familiarity after that first term will trump stepping on a few toes.

Call it a hit piece if you want FRiend but Spencer Abraham is bad news - very bad news.

This is a clear indication that Thompson is all talk and does not have a clue of what we are up against.

Anyone that would be so utterly stupid to swifboat themselves like this is not worthy of the highest office in the land.

If he would have chosen Jimmy Carter as his manager it would not have been so bad.
