First off making a vague attempt at equating Dahmer and his crimes to Vick and his alleged crimes is equally ludicrous in my opinion.

The man is alleged to have run a dog fighting operation. To my knowledge no people were killed or harmed her - at least that is not part of the allegations that I have heard. Again, if it is proven that he committed crimes then he should go to jail. However if we conservatives believe in the rule of law as we often say we do, then we should agree that while Vick clearly has a right to his chance to defend himself in court. At issue is his ability, because of the insane publicity, to find jurors that are not already tainted with all this nonsense in the media. The Falcons and the NFL have every right to fire Vick if they wish, the companies that hired him to seel products for them have every right to cancel their business relationships with him if they feel the need, but the man has a right to go to court and have a jury of his peers determine if he is guilty of the crimes he’s alleged to have committeed. The crimes he’s alleged of comitting are serious to be sure - but are they REALLY serious enough to warrant to converage that we’ve seen in the media? No, not by a long shot. Not when we have other massively pressing issues that do need the public forum to be discussed.

In a court of law Vick is innocent until proven guilty, in the court of public opinion we don't have to afford him that right.

The court of (some of the) public opinion had the Duke players guilty in the same manner.

As for the CT Murder/Rapists...well, as you pointed out, being caught in the act allows for predisposed a swifter judicial process. If Vick had been caught in the act as the two parolees were, we'd all be singing the same tune, admittedly.

Read the indictment. He may not have been caught in the act, but he may as well have been.

I agree. Some players can't help but putting in their 2 cents, even when they aren't asked.
