Ha! Rome lasted a thousand years (more like 1,300).

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

How long did it last as a REPUBLIC? The days of the United States as a free republic are already over.

If the barbarians are at the gate, they lose, not us...The third world (the US being first and second), never thinks about this...

It is the Marxists in our government K-12 schools and colleges and universities who will kill this nation.

Our children are being preached Marxism day in and day out. Eventually they will grow up to be voters.

And aren’t morals dependent on culture?

No. BTW, morals are usually opposed to what the current culture deems acceptable..

So all those folks in foreign lands with different customs are doing the whole “morals thing” wrong?

Don’t different people have different morals?

“they lose, not us”.........don’t forget, the Romans thought the same thing. If Hillary gets elected President, this is entirely possible. Her socialist views will be the downfall of this country. Rome allowed others to do their work....such as China. We need to dump people like this and force this country to take care of itself. Our people can do it if given the chance and if we force Congress to do the peoples work instead of the other way around.

Of course, we can — but we’re unwilling to pay the costs. American workers are expensive compared to the Chinese.

Not all foreign customs are immoral. If you mean like hanging from hooks, ritualistic blood letting and piercings, human sacrifice, and the like, then probably yes.

What about things like running around nearly naked, ritualized/religious sexual practices, and tribal tattoos?

“The fall of every great civilization was preceded by a Sexual Revolution.”

Do you have any proof of that?

I totally agree. Just look at how in debt we are to China (1.33 trillion dollars). The way we are going, our creditors will own us eventually in the long run.

“If the USA falls, and that is a BIG IF, it will be because we turned our backs on God.”

Interestingly enough, Christians were persecuted in Rome until a little after 300 A.D. and within less than a hundred years after adopting Christianity the empire split. The last emperor of the Western half of the empire was gone within 200 years of Rome’s conversion to Christianity. The Roman Republic enjoyed it’s greatest wealth and power long before Christianity even existed. I’m not at all arguing that Christianity brought down Rome. Rome had already gone way downhill by 300 A.D. It just ought to be noted that Rome’s greatest period was prior to the advent of Christianity.
