Romney has run the best campaign so far. And there’s no denying that he knows how to work a crowd.

I think it has more to do with Utah being a neighboring state to Nevada.

So does Barry Manilow, but can he beat Clinton?

I have doubts.

So now there are three states that I know of that Mitt is leading in.

I’m sensing a trend but will keep in mind that there is a long way to go until the first votes are cast.

Well screw Nevada. They elected Reid to the Senate three times and now favor Hitlery on the Rat ticket and a RINO on the Republican one. Geez.

errrr, OK maybe not a RINO, but he’s not as solid a candidate as Fred or Hunter.

Sorry, no flames please. I’m only 18, I don’t know everyone’s political platform backwards and forwards.

Romney leads in Nevada, won the Iowa and Illinois straw polls, and is moving up steadily in the standings in South Carolina. He has raised more money in deep south Georgia than any other candidate--Democrat or Republican. Amazing.

Romney is exquisitely well-organized and is showing the blue-ribbon executive skill and experience that no other candidate can begin to match.

That doesn't mean he'll win, for one must never underestimate the power of rank bigotry to defeat even the best plan. But he is making an absolutely heroic effort.

A Republican in Name only is not a devoted family man, he has traditional values. What in the heck are you talking about?

You are sadly misinformed. Romney is rising nationally in all the polls. Like they say, it's early yet. However, the more people get to know Rudy and McCain the less they like them, the opposite is true for Mitt:

State of the Race: Romney Leads Endorsement Race

Mitt Romney Closing in on Giuliani in the National Race

Romney is leading in Iowa, New Hampshire & Nevada and is rising in California and South Carolina as well.

CA Field Poll - Romney 2nd

[South Carolina] Republican race narrows

We know there are shills for other candidates on every Romney thread smearing him nonstop. I guess because he is such a lousy candidate and has no chance of winning. But while engaging in such smearing, let's try to get the facts straight at least.

Its amazing how fast he starts moving up when he heads to a new state.. like how he just showed up in South Carolina. Hes also jumped again nationally after being stuck at 11% for awhile. Now at 16-18%.

I figure if he can start polling above 20% nationally its basically all over. Like you said his organizational ability is incredible. Which is the reason I am supporting him this go around. We need a president who can actually get this out of control government under control. For example I’ve noted we spend about 3,300$ per capita on healthcare through the government. France only spends about that and they have universal care for all. The problem isn’t that we are spending too little.. we need to spend it effectively.. and thats why we need a turnaround specialist.

We’ve had lots of people long on ideas, short on how to execute them. The bureaucracy just runs roughshod over most of our guys, governors and presidents.

I believe Fred will dramatically affect the GOP race. I’ve seen nothing yet to discourage me from supporting him. In fact, the more I watch the others in the field, the more inclined I am to listen closely to what Fred has to say. He will be a breath of fresh air.

Fred is composed of way too much ego (ie., keeping everyone hanging regarding his presidential intentions)...and I’m not sure why as he’s not exactly the brightest bulb, he speaks too slow and in generalities and comes across as a real jerk - he’s not personable. Mitt’s the only candidate who’s unquestionably bright and articulate, has his act together, is a hard worker and is extremely likable.

I still don’t see Romney as the nominee. I think Christian conservatives will not approve of his faith. Romney needs a solid Southern conservative to guarantee the base will support him given that he is a Mormon.

Everyone seems to ignore his faith for now, but when it comes to actual votes, it will be a huge issue.
