FReepers "OCCUPY" Moonbats Corner (Pic Heavy): Wk 84- Olney, MD 8-18-07: Operation Infinite FReep
Aug. 22,2007

Posted on 08/22/2007 9:19:37 AM PDT by trooprally

In the leftist, anarchists and Raging Grannies flawed tradition of "OCCUPYING" recruiter offices, FReepers have turned the table on the moonbats. Spiff was in Olney this week and after getting psyched up at Walter Reed the night before, decided to make his Olney FReep a memorable one. And 3DJoy was also looking to make her summer in D.C. memorable by joining him. They have come so far to FReep with the D.C. Chapter, they didn't want to waste a moment. So they "OCCUPIED" the moonbats corner, setting up before they even arrived. The set out flags and stood their ground.

Spiff's report follows. My comments are **asterisked**

I noticed that the moonbats had not arrived yet and I decided to make this FReep a little different. I decided it would be more fun to try to reclaim the opposing corner for America and tell the old moonbats to go find another corner, preferably in the Communist country of their choice. I convinced 3DJoy to come with me **Yea, that was hard to do** and we took off across the street with signs and small flags.

We planted the flags (BELOW LEFT) in the ground all the way around the corner to mark our territory. Then, we stood on the edge of the sidewalk (BELOW RIGHT) displaying our signs.Mine said “The Surge is Working...God Bless our Troops!” **3DJoy's sign says "We Support Our Troop's Mission"**

The old moonbats arrived and started shuffling out to the corner (BELOW TOP LEFT). I informed them that the corner had been reclaimed and the Al Qaeda had called and said that their services were no longer needed. Like a bad zombie movie, the old people kept shuffling toward us (BELOW TOP RIGHT)with their signs and chairs. They set up behind 3DJoy and my self. I called over to our corner and had someone bring me a large flag so that our presence was even more noticeable to passers-by. (BELOW BOTTOM)

The moonbats tried to convince us to go to the corner across the street. (BELOW) I told them that there were a million corners in this world and that they could remove themselves to any one of them, but that we were there first and we weren’t moving.

Doctor Raoul brought his amplified sound system and started berating the moonbats from across the street. **See Doc's Report Below** Many times when he lobbed a verbal mortar round at them they would react in shock, anger, and show that his words were disturbing them. I watched to see what was most effective and then I would continue Raoul’s point with them, driving the point even further home.

When Doctor Raoul’s well-researched information (about the Quakers, the Society of Friends, the American Friends Services Committee, the Raging Grannies, Code Pink, and Mobilizing Mothers and their illegal and otherwise anti-American activities) disturbed them, they would say things like “How could he know that?! Where did he get that information!? That can’t be true!” When they did that, I told them that I would be willing to obtain from Doctor Raoul the specific information and bring it back to them so that they could know the truth. They refused. They didn’t want any of it.

I asked all of them if they were Quakers. Most of them said yes, others said nothing. I then asked if they believed in the Bible. They said yes. I then quoted Luke and Ecclesiastes and anything else I could remember on the spot to make the case that sometimes war is necessary in order to establish peace, justice, freedom, and equity. I turned their own signs against them, explaining that all of the things that they desire can’t exist without war against the tyrants that threaten them.

They rallied a bit later, and tried to get us to leave again. I told them that the reason that we were standing in front of them was so that any war widows, gold star mothers who had lost a son, or children who had lost a father might experience a little less pain that the moonbats would cause them if they saw people with flags and pro-troops messages expressing their support for the troops and against the hateful anti-American moonbats. I explained that their continued protest against the troops and their mission spits in the face of every troop and dishonors their sacrifices. I explained that American soldiers had fought, bled, and died for their right to hold their pathetic signs without fear of arrest and imprisonment and that they were dishonor the memory and sacrifice of those troops that had done so.

I explained that if their purpose was truly to stop the war that they were self-defeating. That their continued opposition to the war, along with the anti-American propaganda from the leftist media, gave the terrorists and insurgents hope, emboldening them to fight a little longer and kill more American soldiers and Iraqi civilians in hopes that the moonbats would win the war over here and get America to surrender to the terrorists. I explained that if we pulled out of Iraq that, like Vietnam, genocide would be the result and that the blood of the victims would be on their hands.

One older fellow holding a sign motioned me over. He tried to put his arm around me. He said that some of what I was saying to him was really "hurtful" and claimed to be a WWII vet who served in the Navy. Given his current loyalties, I felt compelled to ask him, "Whose side were you on?" I thought he didn’t hear me as he continued to rant at me. Then he stopped about thirty seconds later and said, "What did you say!? Did you say what I think you said!? Well, you’ve done it now! I’m finished with you!" I explained why I asked the question. Not to hurt his feelings, but to let him understand that the side he now stands for makes that a legitimate question. I asked him how he would have felt when he served during WWII if he knew that people at home were trying to stop their mission before the Nazis or the Imperial Japanese were defeated. I asked him how the wives, mothers, or children of his buddies who fought and died in WWII would have felt to see such a protest as theirs on a corner back then. I asked what the world would be like now if we had given up before defeating Japan and Germany. He refused to engage in further debate, but I could tell that I was getting to him.

One woman in their group would engage me in debate. If she was their spokesperson or the best at debating in their group, then they don’t have a dozen brain cells amongst the whole lot of them. She was dense, didn’t understand logic or reason, and had a foul mouth. **See 3D's Report Below**

3DJoy had to go back across the street, so they sent Sensei Ern over (BELOW) to stand with me. **for the record, Sensei went very willingly** He gave the moonbats hell along with me. I told the moonbats “God bless our troops and their families. God bless our military. God bless their weapons that they will be deadly to our enemies and the enemies of freedom. God grant our soldiers strength to find and kill the enemy. God grant that their aim might be true. God bless them as they fight for freedom everywhere.” No, the moonbats did not like that either.

As they packed up to leave, Sensei Ern and I asked them if the Quakers liked and sang church hymns. They said that some Quakers did. I asked if they liked the Battle Hymn of the Republic. “No!” they said sternly. Sensei Ern and I then launched into a stirring and loud version of the hymn (BELOW) as they shuffled away with their signs and chairs.

Speaking of Sensei Ern, this was his first time at the Olney FReep. Sensei has gained fame in the D.C. Chapter by hosting Comedy Nights for our wounded troops. 3DJoy's report follows.

Freepers establishing a beach head on the opposite corner at Olney (BELOW) this weekend must have really upset one of the pious Quakers. Soon Dr. Raoul warmed up his speakers and began his famous lectures to the less well informed.

Then his chanting at them caused a melt down (BELOW) of one green garbed, white hatted old bird! She began to shout (to my back and across the street) several things that do not seem to be part of the "Friends" normal vocabulary. She said Dr. Raoul didn’t know what the he** he was talking about and he was full of sh**.

How could she know these facts...? Perhaps she had been thinking about herself that morning.

Well now, never one not correct a person who certainly used less that good sentence structure and english...I had to have my say. Turning slowly and looking her squarely in her beady little eyes, I said "I am very sorry, I was in this space first....and I do not allow gutter language such as you are using!"

I thought she had swallowed her false teeth and was unable to speak, but then she resumed by telling her friends what I had said.

I never turned to look at them again. They convinced her to close her trap!

BELOW: 3D back on our FRiendly corner.

All Sensei Ern could say about his first Olney FReep was:

"My only regret is that I did not take advantage of it sooner. I encourage all those who are looking for a little more opportunity to throw rhetoric than what the WR FReep allows to show up at Olney."

Since permits are not required, we are free to "occupy" the moonbats corner any time we wish. We just need the "boots on the corner".

BELOW: Spiff, 3DJoy and Sensei Ern doing their rendition of the flag raising on Iwo Jima.

Not to be upstaged by Spiff, 3DJoy and Sensei Ern, Doctor Raoul had his own surprise for the moonbats - NON STOP SOUND SYSTEM of himself blaring the real truth of the Quackers and their lies.

Doctor Raoul says:

I basically got on them for their WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER signs which are provided by the Friends National Council on Legislation. On their website, they tell how on 9/11 when the Pentagon and towers were hit, they EVACUATED their new headquarters building. EVACUATED means run away. Had it been to go to the Pentagon and render aid, it would have said so. Also did they Join The Iraqi Peace Brigade, Take The Iraqi Peace Pledge. If your advice leads to genocide, you promise to commit suicide. Freedom, it’s not just for white liberals anymore, it’s for people of color in the third world too. Why is it always that people of color in third world countries have to die for the beliefs of white liberal Quakers.

Also how they never protect anyone, but feel free to under mind those who protect them.

BELOW LEFT: Doctor Raoul setting up his sound system, with Lurker Bill putting the final bungee chord on the banner. BELOW RIGHT: Doctor Raoul in action, working the moonbats. Hee Hee Hee, Braaaa Haaaaa Haaaaa. Sorrryyyy

BELOW: The guy in the white truck was calling Doctor Raoul a liar. Doctor Raoul, using the sound system directly at him, gave him hell back. I'm sure the idiots ears were ringing when he drove on.

The 11 FReepers and Lurkers in attendance today vs the sometimes 9 moonbats were Legionaire Frank, Korean War Vet, Lurker Bill and daughter, (L.B.'s daughter), Cindy_True_Supporter (CTS), 3DJoy, Doctor Raoul, Fraxinus, Sensei Ern, Spiff>, Mrs. Trooprally ([Mrs] T), and myself ([Mr] T).

Pics are by [Mrs] T. Entertainment by Doctor Raoul, 3DJoy, Sensei Ern and Spiff at the expense of the moonbats.

Now some pics of the rest of us who "only" had the pleasure of supporting our troops.

BELOW LEFT: And can't forget CTS. Her sign about "Where Is The Protest Against Violent Jihad" always perplexes the moonbats. L. B.'s daughter with CTS. L.B.'s daughter gets around to everyone and is always fun to talk with. BELOW RIGHT: FReepers working the corner.

BELOW LEFT: Some pics of our supporters. [Mrs] T was so busy taking pics of the FReepers "occupying" the moonbats corner, that she didn't catch a lot of wavers and thumbs up.

REMEMBER
Next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108 in Olney
NEW TIME - 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

But a lot of verbal engagement in Olney is always welcome.

Could someone please post info or links about why Dr. Raoul berates the Quaker Church?

--------------------------------------------------------
First, let me point out, these are not the butter churning Quakers we all know and love. These are moonbats who took advantage of the Quakers passiveness and aversion to war as a whole. They then used the Quaker title to add validity to their cause. You can tell they are not real Quakers because unlike real Quakers, they reject the Bible as the Word of God.

As to why the good Doctor uses a loud speaker, it is an effective tool:
http://vietnam67.home.att.net/jmbook07.html -
Using a World War II Japanese tactic, the Viet Cong set up loudspeakers to keep the GI’s awake with their anti-war propaganda. The music was followed by a sexy-voiced woman we called Hanoi Hanna, who patiently petitioned us to lay down our arms and rebel against our commanders. After a few minutes of her droning venom, she introduced another song she said was popular in the States and the music started again.

Her next appeal was for us to consider what our wives and girlfriends were doing for companionship in our absence. This was followed by the news that the USS Pueblo had been captured in North Korea and then, more music. So it continued while choppers with search lights flew overhead in search of their position. Then, as suddenly as it had started, the music and propaganda ended and dark silence again engulfed me.

The next day, the "Stars and Stripes" (the official military newspaper) confirmed the capture of the Pueblo in North Korea. This was quite a blow to our morale.

American Friends Service Committee Iraq Campaign

Discover The Networks info on AFSC

The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) was founded by Quakers in 1917 "to provide young Quakers and other conscientious objectors an opportunity to serve those in need instead of fighting during World War I." AFSC is "committed to the principles of nonviolence and justice" in the face of any and all external threats, confident that "the transforming power of love, human and divine" will ultimately cause aggressors to lay down their weapons and permit peaceful reconciliation to prevail. Following what it calls "the radical thrust of the early Christian witness," AFSC members affirm that they "regard no person as our enemy."

The AFSC worldview is founded on the belief that evil does not exist within individuals, who are endowed only with goodness by their divine Creator; that evil exists only outside of the individual, in societal institutions which often cause people to do terrible things that are inconsistent with their inherent goodness. Thus AFSC "seek[s] to understand and address the root causes of poverty, injustice, and war … [and] to confront, nonviolently, powerful institutions of violence, evil, oppression, and injustice." According to AFSC, the chief exploiter of other nations, and consequently the primary agent of evil on earth, is the United States.

AFSC has actively assisted Communist nations in their quests to achieve economic prosperity. In the 1920's the organization sent Jessica Smith to Russia to "determine famine relief needs." A Communist herself, Smith was married to Harold Ware, a Communist cell leader in Washington, D.C. (After Ware's death in 1935, Smith married John Abt, General Counsel to the Communist Party USA and a member of CPUSA's political committee beginning in the 1950s.) As AFSC author Ruth Anna Brown explains, "We have helped, or are helping, Communist countries reach the amount of economic growth and development necessary for them to allow a degree of relaxed domestic control."

Quaker author Jerry Frost recalls that in the 1930s "the AFSC refused publicly to criticize the Soviet Union because building up cultural and personal contacts seemed the only way open to defuse hostilities." In the eyes of AFSC, the real threat to world stability at that time (and after) was the United States.

In the 1970s John McAuliffe, who then headed AFSC's Indochina program, initially characterized the news of Cambodian massacres under Pol Pot as an American "misinformation campaign," and lauded the Pol Pot regime as "the example of an alternative model of development and social organization." AFSC also distributed a printed defense of the Khmer Rouge well after the genocide in Cambodia had been exposed. At that time McAuliffe said "all reliable sources indicate that the [Marxist] Vietnamese are carrying out the task of reconstruction with extraordinary humaneness." When McAuliffe and AFSC finally recognized the horrors of Pol Pot's regime, they placed the blame squarely on the United States.

In recent decades AFSC has agitated for the unilateral disarmament of the United States. Terry Provence, Director of AFSC's 1970s-era Disarmament Program, was a founding member of the U.S. Peace Council and a member of the Soviet-oriented World Peace Council. Along with fellow Communists Nico Schouten and Walter Rumpel, he led the 1979 "Mobilization For Survival" rally in Washington. A recent pamphlet distributed by AFSC says that the "solution" to international strife is "to disarm America and have it withdraw economically and militarily from the globe." Today AFSC is a member organization of the Abolition 2000, Win Without War, and United for Peace and Justice anti-war coalitions.

AFSC, which recently formed an alliance with the radical group MECha, strongly opposes laws that would apprehend and punish illegal immigrants in the United States. It has denounced Operation Gatekeeper, a government initiative implemented in October 1994 with the aim of securing -- by means of increased border patrol agents, fencing, lighting, and underground sensors -- the San Diego border with Mexico, which was then the busiest illegal alien crossing point in America. AFSC views such measures as "brutal" affronts to the human dignity of "undocumented" immigrants.

In March 2005 AFSC complained that "the U.S. denies immigrant workers the most fundamental labor rights," and called for the protection of "the rights and dignity of all people, regardless of legal immigration status." AFSC has posted on its website a detailed list of strategies for illegal aliens to use in the event that they are interrogated, detained, or arrested by immigration authorities or police. The organization advises that such individuals "not answer questions" about their birthplace or legal status; "refuse to allow immigration authorities or police to enter your house without a search warrant"; "ask for and receive a list of agencies who provide free or low cost legal immigration services"; and "appeal [any unfavorable] decision of the judge in front of a higher court, saying you don't accept the decision."

AFSC was a signatory to a November 1, 2001 document characterizing the 9/11 attacks as a legal matter to be addressed by criminal-justice procedures rather than military means. Ascribing the hijackers' motives to alleged social injustices against which they were protesting, this document called on the United States "to promote fundamental rights around the world."

AFSC was also a signatory to a March 17, 2003 letter exhorting members of the U.S. Congress "to oppose ... 'Patriot [Act] II'" on grounds that it "contain[ed] a multitude of new and sweeping law enforcement and intelligence gathering powers ... that would severely dilute, if not undermine, many basic constitutional rights." In addition, AFSC has given its organizational endorsement to the Community Resolution to Protect Civil Liberties campaign, which tries to influence city councils to pass resolutions of non-compliance with the provisions of the Patriot Act.

AFSC opposes Israel's construction of an anti-terrorism security fence, which it depicts as an illegal "apartheid wall" that violates the civil and human rights of Palestinians. AFSC has been a leader in promoting the U.S. speaking engagements of Israeli "refuseniks," or conscientious objectors, who refuse to serve in the Israeli Defense Force on grounds of Israel's alleged oppression of Palestinians. One notable refusenik whose lecture tours have been sponsored by AFSC is Noam Bahat.

Another AFSC priority is to help turn public opinion against capital punishment. "We're working to get doubts into the public consciousness," says AFSC, "so those eligible for jury duty in capital cases will understand that the death penalty is cruel and unusual punishment."

The General Secretary of AFSC, responsible for the administration of the organization's U.S. and international programs, is Mary Ellen McNish. McNish previously worked for numerous other non-profit organizations, including the YWCA and Planned Parenthood.

AFSC has received grants from the Blue Moon Fund, the Columbia Foundation, the Ford Foundation, the Joyce Foundation, the Mertz Gilmore Foundation, the Minneapolis Foundation, the Open Society Institute, the Public Welfare Foundation, and the Rockefeller Foundation, and numerous others.

In 1947 AFSC was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
More Info about AFSC

American Friends Service Committee (AFSC)
"Revolution then is needed first and foremost in the United States, thoroughgoing revolution, not a mild palliative."

The AFSC was formed in 1917 by a group of 14 socialist Quakers to aid draft resisters. AFSC has been penetrated and used by Communists since the early 1920s when it sent Jessica Smith, who later married Soviet spies Harold Ware and John Abt(since the 1950s CPUSA general counsel and a member of the CPUSA Political Committee) to the Soviet Union to determine famine relief needs in Russia exacerbated by civil war and the collectivization of farmland.

Since the 1960s, the AFSC has supported revolutionary terrorist groups such as the Vietcong, Palestine Liberation Organization(PLO), and the Central American Castroite groups. The theory behind AFSC's support of terrorist "national liberation movements" was outlined by Jim Bristol in a pamphlet published by AFSC in 1972 and continuously reprinted entitled "Non-violence: Not First for Export." Because AFSC's leadership role in organizing not only support for terrorist revolutionary groups, but in the past campaign to disarm America initiated through the USSR's covert action apparatus for political warfare, a closer look at AFSC's justification of violence is appropriate.

In the AFSC pamphlet, Bristol presents the totalitarian revolutionary goal in the most glowing terms as a utopia:

"a human society where the worth of the individual will be recognized and each person treated with respect....Land reform measures will be enacted....Education will be provided for every member of the society;....There will be employment for all. Discrimination because of race, colour or creed will end. Universal medical care will be provided." [If this all sounds strangely familiar, don't feel alone, these are all planks from the Communist Manifesto].

AFSC's pamphlet asserts that the United States and other Free World countries are guilty of a bizarre "terrorism" which it calls the "violence of the status quo" and irrationally defines this in the broadest possible terms not only as every possible social ill, but also personal or social discomfort. In the words of the pamphlet, this "violence of the status quo" is:

"the agony of millions who in varying degrees suffer hunger, poverty, ill-health, lack of education, non-acceptance by their fellow men. It is compounded of slights and insults, of rampant injustice, of exploitation, of police brutality, of a thousand indignities from dawn to dusk and through the night."

AFSC's pamphlet excuses terrorism in the following terms:

"terrorism...repeatedly...is used to signify violent action on the part of oppressed peoples in Asia, Africa, Latin America or within the black ghettos of America, as they take up the weapons of violence in a desperate effort to wrest for themselves the freedom and justice denied them by the systems that presently control their lives. "before we deplore terrorism, it is essential for us to recognize whose ‘terrorism’ came first....It is easy to recognize the violence of the revolutionary when he strikes out against the inequities and cruelties of the established order. What millions of middle-class and other non-poor fail to realize is that they are themselves accomplices each day in meeting[sic] out inhuman, all-pervading violence upon their fellows."

After this justification of the concept of class warfare, which makes "permissible" terrorist attacks on civilians since they are part of the "oppressive class," the AFSC pamphlet says that U.S. activists should not concern themselves with what sort of violent tactics revolutionaries utilize to achieve their ends. Instead, they should work to disarm the United States and for economic warfare against the U.S.’s "oppressive" allies. In its words:

"Instead of trying to devise non-violent strategy and tactics for revolutionaries in other lands, we will bend every effort to defuse militarism in our own land and to secure the withdrawal of American economic investment in oppressive regimes in other parts of the world."

The AFSC pamphlet concludes with a call for revolution in the United States, saying:

"Revolution then is needed first and foremost in the United States, thoroughgoing revolution, not a mild palliative."

The director of the AFSC’s Disarmament Program resurrected in the mid-1970s as a complement to the international disarmament campaign was Terry Provance, a World Peace Council(Soviet-controlled) activist and founding member of the U.S. Peace Council. Accompanied by two foreign Communist WPC activists, Nico Schouten, leader of the Netherlands "Ban the Neutron Bomb" organization, and East German Peace Council head Walter Rumpel, Provance addressed a Mobilization for Survival rally at the U.S. Capitol in October, 1979.

AFSC operates a lobbying arm, the Friends Committee on National Legislation(FCNL). Its focus and energies play a key role in developing strategy for pressure on Congress against the U.S. defense budget, and particularly against development or deployment of new weapons systems.

Another AFSC project, the National Action/Research on the Military/Intelligence Complex(NARMIC), served as the AFSC’s "intelligence-gathering arm." NARMIC works closely with the Institute for Policy Studies(IPS), the North American Congress on Latin America(NACLA), a pro-Cuba research group, and other anti-defense and armament research organizations.

Thanks for the kudos. We do what we can to make the moonbats uncomfortable.

No one ever knows what the Olney Gang will do week to week, or who will show up till the last minute. I just have the pleasure of writing about it. And this week the FReepers gave me a lot of good stuff. No report would be as good without the pics of [Mrs] T and iMacMan (who vacations on his boat during the warmer months).

Hope you stay hurricane free this year.

I hope Spiff's answer is sufficient.

These moonbats on the corner HAVE identified themselves as Quakers, which opens them up to reasonable comments about their activities. See Olney Week 79

There is a big Quaker presence in our area, but these idiots on the corner can only get their die hard handful. I've heard from good sources that they have pleaded with others to join them. None come out.

If the Quakers want to practice their peaceful religion while others protect their right to do so, fine. But when they come out and protest against the troops that protect their right, that raises my ire.

Thanks and real glad you all enjoyed the thread.

I was just trying to write it in the spirit of the FReepers who attended Saturday’s FReep. And what a spirit it was. I didn’t want to write something that was not up to their standards.

Your comments also give me added incentive to write GOOD AARs.
