Charges were filed Wednesday in connection with the kicking death of a Coweta toddler. Michael Hernandez was ordered held in the Wagoner County Jail without bond. He's charged with killing Kelynn Byrd, 2, earlier this month. The toddler's mother was Hernandez's girlfriend. Investigators said after Hernandez and the boy's mother had a fight, she left the house, leaving the child with Hernandez. The victim died from blunt chest and abdominal trauma. Hernandez allegedly confessed to repeatedly kicking Kelynn in the chest. Authorities contacted the Mexican consulate after Hernandez's court appearance because he is in the country illegally.

Poor baby never had a chance. I wish women would stop inflicting boyfriends on their little kids. But as long as out society sees unwed childbearing as a perfectly fine choice, we will continue to see these very sad cases.

What kind of mother would leave her child with “a boyfriend” after having a fight with the boyfriend. Unforunately, too many innocent children die at the hands of the “mother’s” boyfriend.
I hope they hang this worthless excuse for a mother too.

"It wasn't his kid, so he thought she was disrespectful, wild," a source said. "So he'd beat her and wouldn't feed her, locked her up in a bedroom, but he left the other kids alone." Rodriguez has two children with Santiago, his wife, sources said. Investigators believe she participated in the beatings, sources said.

It's okay for lions to do this because God made them as wild animals, but He didn't make these men as wild animals.Gould reportedly left the home, leaving her son alone with Hernandez, according to an affidavit.
Hernandez told investigators that while "very angry" with Gould about their relationship, he began kicking Kelynn in the back, records show.

We are the same way. Its just SOP to contact an embassy when you arrest the citizen of another country.
In fairness to the film “Apocalypto” the savagery of the Mayans was countered by the protagonist’s courageous determination to get back to his family and his mate’s willingness to sacrifice herself for the survival of her children.
But I know you were referring to the Mayans/Aztecs. Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing a bunch of ACLU lawyers up on that pyramid, having their still-beating black hearts held up to their dying eyes.
This is so sad. I’ve read that children are most at risk from live-in boyfriends. White, American males do this too. And some perpetrators are the actual fathers. Terrible.

Sounds like there will be pressure to plea bargain and deport this guy rather than prosecute him. It goes on all the time.
White and Black and Asian and Hispanic Americans commit all kinds of crimes. The point is that the person who committed this crime is in the US illegally. He shouldn't be living and working here. If he had not been here, this particular crime would not have been committed.
