The History Channel is running a pretty good special on the assorted groups behind the 9-11 conspiracy theories. I decided to take a look at some of these sites, particularly the site devoted to the "documentary" called "Loose Change". This is the one that Charlie Sheen is supposed to be considering narrating.
What I found was the usual collection of goofballs, morons and runaway nutjobs. It seems no amount of factual information can influence these people. What they display is the expected amount of self-delusional fantasies and paranoia. What I found that I DID'T expect (but should have) was that, sooner or later, what they are ALL about is the same old "I Hate Bush" anti-war nonsense.
Free Rep won't let me post the links- these groups are not welcome (no surprise there) but they are certainly easy enough to find for anyone who cares to keep an eye on the loose kooks that are among us.
I wonder if Sheen's willingness to be involved is directly proportional to his blood drug level...?
Is it just me, or were these idiots just a lot more fun when all they were worried about was being abducted by aliens?
I frankly don’t believe that the government is competent enough to have pulled this off, so that’s my barrier to buying any of this conspiracy stuff, despite some questions I have. But, with all of the wacky things that people believe in, is it really any surprise that so many seem to religiously believe that 9/11 was an “inside job?”
I see those "9/11 was an inside job", Bush $u(k$, W with a / thru it and other leftist bumper stickers in Austin on a regular basis. The local (and national) news people may as well start every news cast by saying: "I hate George W Bush, I hate Republicans and I hate America". "Now for the news------"
Serious obstacles to doing so.
Courts would not give you ‘standing” to enter case. You are an outsider.
How were you damaged mentally by these actions?
They would cite “free speech” issues. although their protection there is not as absolute as one might think.
Even if you won, they would hide their money to prevent actual recovery.
Reality:? No chance of recovering $
In fact, every month on the eleventh, the truthers picket at Dealy Plaza.
This will be the crowd the next Mcviegh comes from...
Alex Jones peddled the same crap during the 90’s only to the far right...
Talk radio didnt spawn Mcveigh....conspiracy hucksters DID.
Sounds good...
Ping.
