Liberal journalist Nina Burleigh, famous for her 1998 statement that she'd happily fellate President Clinton for "keeping abortion legal," complained in an August 30 Huffington Post blog entry that conservative Republicans are sexually repressed, homophobic, and intolerant.
The rockier the rib, the more likely you'll find pink lingerie under the trousers or a bullwhip and manacles in the bedside drawer. You can bet those Beltway dominatrices, madams and escorts (gay and straight) have been able to buy second homes -- maybe even in Sun Valley! -- with their haul during W's reign.
Oh, it gets better. According to Burleigh, gay-baiting and the Amish vote were keys to Bush's 2004 re-election victory:
...[Sen. Larry Craig's] obviously lived his whole life afflicted by the religious psychobabble and outright bigotry of people who say homosexuality is a sickness and a lifestyle decision instead of an innate state of being that has nothing to do with illness or choice.
The sickness, of course, is in the suppression, which is why closeted men seek love in rank public bathroom stalls.

Looks about as manly as John "F-word*" Edwards!
*As explained by Ann Coulter
how anti feminist is this statement? women should get on their knees before a man and thank him for what they believe to be a fundamental right to control their own bodies? not only does this make absolutely no sense at all, it’s contrary to the whole movement! what a moron.
If you don’t spread for every man that comes along, grunts in your general direction, and grabs your boob, you’re “sexually repressed”.
the horrible toast is pure trash. here’s its description on wikipedia:
“news website the HuffPost draws a balance between hard news commentary and coverage, popular culture and celebrity opinion features.”
news site? it’s amazing what passes as news these days!
bird cage liner
Know what always slays me? Liberals Like Nina Burleigh have constantly told us since the 60’s that we are sexually repressed, and that if we simply lose our sexual inhibition all will be well. Well, I may be a prude, but it sure seems like we live in a sex-saturated culture to me. In fact, we are now given to sexualizing our young daughters ala Britany Spears, or Bratz dolls. I challenge you to find any aspect of modern culture that does NOT have some sexual inference to it.
Have liberals EVER been right about ANYTHING?
When it comes to liberals, feminists, radicals, anarchists, followers of Al Gore, etc.
What they say doesn’t have to make sense!
Their statements and behaviors and opinions don’t follow any logical patterns. It’s all the emotion of the heat of the moment. In the heat of the moment, she said she would take care of Bill herself because she was so grateful. Of course it doesn’t stand up to critical or rational thought. The MSM won’t call her on it. No other liberal / radical / anarchist will either.
enough_idiocy: “women should get on their knees before a man and thank him for what they believe to be a fundamental right to control their own bodies? not only does this make absolutely no sense at all, its contrary to the whole movement!”
Excellent point. That does seem kinda contradictory to me.
That pic sure was an "Eeew!" moment.
Pertaining to the quote, don't you recall the news stories during the 2004 GOP convention in New York, quoting strip clubs and prostitutes, who were complaining about how dead the city had become. Unlike Democratic conventioneers, the Pubbies weren't using their services at all.
Self control always was and still is the mark of an emotionally stable adult. Social liberals do not have the moral standards and convictions necessary to act as moral humans, so they act like animals instead. Finally they end up spending their lives justifying beastly behavior and the worship of self.
They all have a philosophy/religion that exalts themselves as their own god, thus the universe revolves around their selfish carnal impulses.
The truth written in the Bible convicts their heart so they unleash particular hatred for the Bible.
"Help, help, I'm being repressed!"
>> conservative Republicans are sexually repressed, homophobic, and intolerant.
Intolerant? Possibly. It depends on exactly what I’m supposedly intolerant of.
Homophobic? Unlikely. Who FEARS gay people?!? I certainly don’t. I simpy think they’ve chosen a lifestyle that is psycologically questionable, and morally repugnant. However, they’ve chosen one of hundreds of possible sins to commit, and their choice is no more repugnant than infidelity, blasphemy, or a host of other sins. Ultimately, their lifestyle is their business, and my disagreement with it is mine.
Sexually repressed? Certainly not. I’ve got a lovely pregnant housewife at home that can attest.

Nina “I’d give Clinton a [Lewinsky]” Burleigh opens her mouth ...
I don't even think you're in the same universe with where her actual proclivities lie...
If she has ever felt sexual desire for a man, than I'm Bill Gates.
Ya think maybe she was sayin’ that about Bill, so’s to get Hillary’s attention?
Not only that... but she could be Rosie's sister!
For 8,000 years up until the mid-1970's, that was the verdict. I, along with over 1/2 the medical profession, still subscribe to that thinking.
I think it was nore a rallying cry for the purveyors of "do me" feminazism to rally the "troupes".
“The rockier the rib, the more likely you’ll find pink lingerie under the trousers or a bullwhip and manacles in the bedside drawer.”
Strong Conservative here. It’s nobody but my wife’s business what color my lingerie is, nor what drawer we keep the bullwhip and manacles! lol
Listen lady, we conservatives can still get our freak on. We just don’t advertise.
nina burly = nappie headed ho
The whole article says more about the Paris Hilton-type reporterettes who are infesting the news media than it does about Republicans or conservatives. Nina Burleigh should have been named Ninny Burleigh. Because that’s
what she is.
