ATK, Remington and Winchester have announced a 15% price increase effective tomorrow - not later in the year. The "Hillary Panic of 07" is well underway. The ammunition manufacturers are back ordered many months. Some law enforcement agencies can not obtain ammunition.
10-4 to that!
Somewhere (”Seven myths of gun control” by Richard Poe(?))
I seem to recall reading that according to federal law you cannot keep weapons if you are under a restraining order. Doesn’t sound right (and this is “weapons”, not “ammunition”), but who knows?
I can’t imagine what’s illegal about having too much ammo and stating the world is going to end. I think the world is going to end some day(as stated in the Bible, a book most people in this country used to believe) and I have 100 rounds of ammo. Should I get rid of all that ammo so I can still hold that belief or stop believing that so I can keep the ammo?
In NH we have such a law. You must get an order from the court for LE to return it to you.
Did I get moved to the USSR as I slept?

(chuckle)
Same here.
Could it have something to do with supplying the military during a war? ...maybe?
Yep! And isn't a TRO pretty much routine in divorce proceedings these days?
“Yup. I probably do have him beat.”
But do you believe the world is going to end? Apparently, you can either have 1st amendment protection or 2nd. Not both.
Yep. 62,000 rounds and a positive outlook on the future is legal.
The prudent survivor is not one to believe government will save his ass and provides the means of survival, including personal security.
Yet after Katrina the national guard confiscated firearms from people who were justly and rightfully prepared to survive and defend their property.
We are witnessing an open season on firearms ownership and confiscation from those who are prepared. And this is a trend that has to be halted. Government grows on precedence. Confiscating firearms and ammo from the rightously prepared is a dangerous precedent.
What an idiot, if the world is coming to an end, I'be running out and spending my money on potato chips, beer and gin.........
...Deer Season...obviously.
does that depend on the number of rounds, cases or pallets?
The left can be unintentionally hilarious when they venture into things martial or explosive.
I remember a Stephen King novel (`Cell’ I think) where his characters, giddy as school girls, describe an AK as being capable of a hundred or more rounds—per second. Another one references a .40 caliber Colt SA revolver. Another, B-52s bombing Germany. And so on.
Do you have to forfeit kitchen knives when placed under a restraining order as well?
