Stephen King really is a very good writer. Even though he is a big liberal I do enjoy his books (mostly). However he was an English teacher at one time and should avoid showing ignorance in other things to the world.

Ah yes he now must be adjudicated mentally defective or notNo. That's just one reason why a person can have their second amendment rights taken away. There are a bunch of others. BTW, what you said isn't quite enough. The qualification is being adjudicated mentally defective AND a threat to yourself or others. You can be nuts and own a firearm as long as you're not dangerous.

“Authorities said they removed nearly 80,000 rounds of ammunition from the home of a South Bend man who warned that the world was going to end. “
Poor guy. And just think. He was a mere 20,000 rounds from having “enough”.

“”I remember a Stephen King novel (`Cell I think) where his characters, giddy as school girls, describe an AK as being capable of a hundred or more roundsper second. “”
I have a movie script where in a shoot out in an emergency room of a hospital, the hero jumps behind a water cooler and tapes together his automatic pistol, and his dead partners revolver to increase his firepower.

Do you know what the status of the Emerson case is? I know in ‘04 that the 5th circuit upheld his conviction, but I can’t find any info on whether it was appealed to the SC or not and what may have happened there.

List includes 7.62.
Doesn't specify whether it's x39 or x51.

Do you know what the status of the Emerson case is? The USSC declined to review it - case over, he lost.

I know in Missouri you can’t purchase a gun when you have a restraining order, whether they can take your existing guns and ammo is something to wonder about.

You forgot currency: Ammunition, tobacco and alcohol. And gasoline will be a precious commodity. Read "Patriots" by John Wesley Rawles. Fascinating book if you can make it past the 2nd chapter (boring 1st 2 chapters).
