Committee Participants: the Honorable BillF, the Honorable kristinn, the Honorable tgslTakoma, the Honorable 3D-Joy, the Honorable Tom the Red Hunter, the Honorable Cindy True Supporter, the Honorable [Mr/Mrs] trooprally, the Honorable *Lurker Bill, the Honorable Fraxinus, the Honorable TennesseeNana, the Honorable BufordP, the Honorable PortCall24, the Honorable PrezUSA222, the Honorable VaFlagWaver, the Honorable Albion Wilde, the Honorable *Alicia, the Honorable *George and *Ethel, the Honorable Sensei Ern Thank you, Mr Chairman, ranking members, members of the committee. Thank you for the opportunity to provide my assessment of the security situation at the gates of the Walter Reed Army Medical facility and to discuss my recommendations I recently provided to my chain of command for the way forward. At the outset I would like to note that this is MY testimony. Although I briefed this assessment and recommendations to my chain of command I wrote this testimony myself. It has not been cleared by nor shared with anyone in the Pentagon, the White House, or the Congress until it was just handed out. As a bottom line up front the military objectives of the surge in large measure are being met.
We still are experiencing some difficulty with major leftist groups like Code Pink America. Recently the Vietnam Memorial Wall was breeched and the Wall appears to have sustained some damage. We're not sure yet whether the damage is permanent. But we have sufficently secured Walter Reed.
Mr Chairman, as you can see from these photographs an extensive security perimeter, a "Red, White, and Blue Zone" if you will, has been established and sustained on all four corners for the last 125 weeks.
Troop strength has been up and down. Recruitment has been low leaving the task of maintaining the RWBZ to a small group of dedicated patriots over an extensive period of time. New recruits are desparately needed. But this is a volunteer force. Our current force is weary. But none will leave their post until victory is secure. More patriots are needed, we think, in the short run to put a final nail in the coffin of the defeatist commie liberal loser anti-war Democrats!
The surge is working! But more troops are needed! 'Nuff said! HOORAH!

Let me be the first to say, Great Thread!!
[Mr] T
Excellent photos and post!!
I’ll be with you all in spirit this weekend .
We’ll be looking forward to the GOE ACR.
BWAAAHAAAAHAAA! I read the “flyer” that was posted...”How Sad”...
Those people are beyond pathetic. You guys have my respect, occupying the same general geographic area with them week after week...
FReepers, don't let Hillary, Code Pinkos & ANSWER win the rounds this weekend. Join us this Friday at Walter Reed and join us Saturday in DC at the GOE per this thread (click here).
Excuse me. I mean, "General Buford, SIR!"
First of all I can’t express my thanks enough to all of you for being there week after week. There have to be a lot more FReepers in the area who could help out. If I could I’d be there every week but it’s a long drive from Missouri.
Good report General Buford.
Good evening General.
I have just returned from the WALL mission. I must report that it is still stained and there seems to be much false information being given out!
Thanks for the report....you make the fun last longer and now I can do so all over again as I read.
Looking forward to seeing you and the rest of the gang Saturday.
barker,
I don’t know where you are in MO, but bluesagewoman has been doing some FReeps in the Columbia area. Also, there may be opportunities to support troops/oppose peaceniks elsewhere in MO.
We’re right by Kansas City. Columbia is about half way across the state. May turn up there since I now have weekends off.
Imagine their shock at discovering after typing in all caps for a hour they then realize that they left out “age” and had to write it in on all the posters they were just about to print out...
Oh the horror!!!!!
It’s surprising that it’s taken this long for them to post these silly flyers. I guess it’s time to put up some of our own like you have done.
I’m furious about the vandalism at the Vietnam Wall. I’m wondering if a hot iron and brown paper would soak up that oil. That is what I use to remove greasy or oil stains in carpets, etc. The paper absorbs the oil and lifts it. I wouldn’t think that the heat would harm the stone. Just thinking. BTW, great job you guys. You are true heros.
What a Great AAR and so well thought of.
