Being openly anti-US is only acceptable and normal to those who think that celebrities are intelligent enough to comment on US political policies. Half of the people in this country are smarter than that. If we can actually get all those conservative citizens to vote in 2008, we won’t have to suffer the nightmare of a D in the White House. The reason we are suffering now is that so many conservatives stayed home in 2006 to punish their representatives.

Oh, yeah, and the Dems cheated. We will have to vigilant in 2008 to derail the cheating that’s sure to be a factor.

It is too bad that lawyers and the NEA have taken over our educational system. Thirty years ago this miscreant would have been taken to the woodshed and he’d have to just think his beliefs and behave. No kid of mine will have a teacher like this without me causing problems to the school. The Chinese and the Spanish speaking are salivating because the pussification of the citizens of the US will make us easier to dominate. .

Chico resident Michael Hill said he was told by his daughter, Kaytlen Hill, 13, that the assignment was to have parents sign the letter and return it to class Wednesday.

I would have returned it to class alright - in person. And shoved it up Brook's (___) with a yardstick (a 3' ruler for you 'kids').

Will he need a visa to continue working at this school if he is no longer a citizen

Heh heh. Those unintended consequences are a bi$ch, huh? People who spout this crap just never think thru what they're saying.

"This story should be emailed to every talk show host and hostette. Make sure this idiot gets kicked out of this country ASAP."

To where? As a member of the 'Global Community' and without his U.S. Citizenship, he couldn't get a passport to leave or go anywhere.

Read the link at the teacher’s name in the article. They are claiming the entire thing was a lesson tying the Declaration of Independence to todays world. He sent home the paperwork without any explanation, but claims he thought the 14 year old kids would explain to their teachers what he meant. Of course he didn’t explain it to the kids either - sounds like a huge dodge to me, but he’ll get away with it.

Occasionally we meet “stateless” people, but it is only in their own mind.

Boy,it sounds like this guy is a real clown. However, the concept of "statelessness" *does* exist although my belief is that relatively few people in the world qualify for this classification.

Simply put,to be "stateless" is to be a person who *no* country on earth will acknowledge, under its particular citizenship laws,as being one of its citizens.

"Of course, in Chico, CA, my bet is that many student’s parents are NOT citizens of the US anyway."

I'll take your bet. What would you like to wager?

I am strongly for granting anyne their wishes to renounce their citizenships.
However, they will haveto live with the consequenses. Apply for a visa and more important, a work permit.
I have lived all over the world. One thing these idiots need to know that it is very hard to get a work permit in another country. Actually, almost impossible. Those are things they don’t anticipate.

When I was in high school back in the early 1970’s a class had a simulation of communism. We (students) were issued little red books we always had to have in our possession. There were secret police (students). We were given menial tasks to replicate central planning and production quotas.
I believe the experiment lasted a couple of weeks. I recall somehow losing my red book and was suddenly at the mercy of the secret police who began to persecute me and make my life difficult.

I still remember the lessons learned from that class experiment. When the class segment ran it’s course we analyzed the entire process and the consequences of compliance, and non compliance alike. The lessons of communism and socialism were forever engrained in my mind. I don’t think my parents were very thrilled but they were not asked to participate to the extent of signing documents to perpetuate the situation.
But I could see how such a study could be developed and maybe misconstrued. Too much? Perhaps.
Depends on the lessons learned and who lewarned them.

The scary thing about vouchers is when the government starts giving money to private schools, that gives them to right to start telling the private schools how to run their programs. Making private school tuition a tax credit or deduction would be much better, in my book.

He said his daughter broke into tears when she talked about Brooks mentioning illegal wiretaps and other surveillance directed against innocent people.

The poor girl is 13 years old and he's got her crying over wiretapping? Can't kids just be kids anymore?

I didn’t say either way, but was wondering why you jumped on Chico, which isn’t much different from any other small university town in the Western U.S.

I was hoping you’d elaborate on what you know about Chico and Butte County to be able to make a rash statement like that.
