WASHINGTON - Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday that a mandate requiring every American to purchase health insurance was the only way to achieve universal health care but she rejected the notion of punitive measures to force individuals into the health care system.

"At this point, we don't have anything punitive that we have proposed," the presidential candidate said in an interview with The Associated Press. "We're providing incentives and tax credits which we think will be very attractive to the vast majority of Americans."

She said she could envision a day when "you have to show proof to your employer that you're insured as a part of the job interview — like when your kid goes to school and has to show proof of vaccination," but said such details would be worked out through negotiations with Congress.

Now say: ‘emotional emphasis’ three times as fast as you can. See....it’s hard to be a woman in today’s world...(wink)

LOL.

That little insert wasn’t a Marvel Comic, I take it.

She was saying, “At this point, we don’t have anything punitive that we have proposed”

But thinking
“Until I’m elected I can’t tell you the punishment we’ll dishout to those that don’t ‘volunteer’ for our health care plan.”

What is more frightening than Hillary proposing this communism is the FACT that many people will nod their heads in agreement with it.

Be insured to get work? Sounds like she is talking about self employed contractors, not employees.

Why does she always yell when she speaks?

Because she absolutely LOATHES that she has to explain ANYTHING to the ignorant masses, while every fibre of her being is telling her that DICTATORSHIP is the only way to go. We have seen her(it's) type many times in the past.

Question right now on Drew Carey’s Power of 10 game show:

What percentage of Americans would be willing to pay higher taxes for the government to provide universal healthcare?

Answer: 51%.

Reality: Without a conservative plan, hello President Hillary.

One of the little known provisions in her plan would be that anyone who makes over $250,000 per year would have the portion of health care premiums paid by their employer included in their taxable income.

For example, if you work for a large company in management and make $300k, you might pay $500/month for your families coverage. Your employer kicks in $1,000/month to subsidize and keep your costs down in order to keep a valued employee.

Under Hillary’s plan, that $12,000 per year would now be included in your taxable income. Since that person is in the top 35% tax bracket, it would cost them an extra (calculator not handy, but you do the math) $4,000+ in federal income taxes.

Frankly, I don't see a cohesive, clear or rational conservative plan for anything on the horizon.
