A sick old woman in a wheelchair was stun-gunned by police ten times over a period of three or four minutes until she died. One hit was sixteen seconds long. Another was twenty five seconds. Another one was thirteen seconds.
women cops are awful quick on the draw with that taser weapon
I imagine small male cops are, too.
I guess I just do not know how dangerous an old women in a wheelchair might be.
But what's a few lives lost here and there in the name of affirmative action?
Why not just run her over with the patrol car?
10 times??????
Good God. Old ladies are now threatening our very existence. Beat them and taser them til they die. AND we have freepers condoning it.

I’m flat out disgusted!
They merely followeed their trainig
Fire 3 times before yelling HALT! Oh, wait a minute....
JDM to Broker: "Hook me up with some TASR shares, bro!"
Well, I don't know about "easily," and I don't know the whole story in this case, but, tasering someone is done to override their neuromuscular system so they will stop what they are doing and then follow your commands when the tasering stops.
In some very rare instances tasering someone for a minute or longer is reasonable (you have 3 at gunpoint and one being tasered until backup arrives, which I've seen), but generally speaking, if it doesn't work after a couple of tries (getting them to follow your commands) then you have to move up the use of force ladder.
And if you can't justify hitting them with your stick or fists, then the Taser is usually not an option either. Better brush up on your counterjoint techniques and work on your common sense and judgement.
A stun gun is not a “Taser”.
Not saying the police did no wrong in this case but...
Seeing the title and the description of a “sick old woman in a wheelchair” made me think of some frail 70 year old.
The “sick old woman” in this case was 56, looked to be about 300 pounds and was armed with two knives and a hammer and was attempting to assault her sister-which led to the 9-11 call for help- and then later was swinging the weapons at family members and police. She apparently also was threatening to harm herself.
I believe the story said there were twenty hits in all, many of them long ones. There's no acceptable excuse for this torture of an old, sick woman. They are claiming she was threatening to harm herself, so their response was to harm her a whole lot more than she likely would have done herself, if at all. What's wrong with police today, does law enforcement purposely seek out the angry, thug types for the job? Though the police apologists will be out enforce to protect their own, the amount of times this woman was electroshocked means she was murdered. You can hear her screaming in pain, and people who are in that much agony and shock cannot harm themselves or others. One zap, then cuff her and take her to a psych hospital. Twenty zaps = murder.
The video indicated she was threatening to “hurt herself” so the cops tasered her to death after discussing among themselves what to do.
She's sure to make a healthy paycheck for herself & the old sick woman's family when the city settles.
My impression I get from most cops is:
Don't "F" with me and give me reason to draw my gun or taser your ass!
They were just recharging the batteries on the old woman’s electric wheelchair.
Good God, man, you're talking about one old lady in a wheel chair and a room full of cops. What do they do to people in police academy, remove their souls? Or do the just walk in without souls in the first place?
That would make it a completly different story.
