Psalm 145: 17-19
The Lord is righteous in all His ways,
and holy in all His works.
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon Him,
to all that call upon Him in truth.
He will fulfill the desire of them that fear Him;
He also will hear their cry, and will save them.
May the heavens above rain down righteousness and may salvation spring forth, for You, our God have created it. How blessed we are to be Your children, and to be counted as righteous because of the precious blood of Christ, our Savior. May Your Name be praised in the heavens and in all the earth and may the gift of Jesus be received by all.
We know that we are undeserving of Your love, Your mercy, and Your amazing grace. Thank You, Father, for being our God of long-suffering and patience, Who teaches us through the Word. Thank You for being our God Who speaks to us and comforts us through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We ask for the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit to indwell our President, speaking vision and clarity to him, that his heart may be filled to overflowing with Your wisdom and truth. May he always know that You are near to him when he calls upon you, Lord, and that You will make plain the path he is to take. Please cover him with Your feathers and let him safely trust in You. Many are his critics and adversaries, Lord, but we are confident that You defend him. You vindicate Your humble and obedient servant who seeks to please You. Help him to put on Your truth as his shield and buckler. Thank You for the courage he has shown throughout his presidency and for the strength that he continues to display with Your help. As new threats of violence are revealed, we confess Your Word which tells us that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, for this is our President’s inheritance as a servant of the Lord. Thank You, Father, for Your wonderful watch care over him and his family. We know that You preserve all those who love You.
Father, please fill our military leaders and troops with an unwavering commitment to You and to the preservation of the freedoms enjoyed by the people of this nation. We pray that those who hate You would never be allowed to rob us of our freedom to love and worship You. Guide our troops, Lord, and help them to be strong against the true enemy. Be with every military man and woman and every family awaiting the safe return of their loved one. Grant great success to our troops in Iraq, Father, and be their leader every step of the way.
We humbly pray that our continued focus during this time of trial would be upon You, Father, and upon Your Son, Jesus Christ. May we keep You in our hearts as we enter each new day, ever mindful that You have created each of us for an important purpose that serves Your Kingdom. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Father, we gather to pray for our many warriors, those who have departed and those who still remain, those who are fighting and those whose opportunity have not yet come. We pray for Your continual wisdom and protection to be provided to them so that they can best serve our nation and the cause of freedom and so that they will return from duty safe and sound to their loved ones.
