That letter almost makes one want to vote for his speech writers.

“How could anyone vote for a man who doesn’t have the brains to realize he belongs to a cult?”

Most people who use the word “cult” don’t have the brains to define the word correctly. If they did, they would realize that Christianity itself has been referred to as a cult. Most people who use the word cult in a derogatory way simply prove they are bigots.

It’s time for change in Washington

Hey wait a minute...

The President of the United States is a Republican

Up until 9 lousy months ago the Congress of the United States was majority Republican

So what's the bit about change in Washington? From what to what?

The Republicans were handed the chance of the Centuries to make deep, historical changes that might have saved this country from becoming Brazil with Nukes.

They blew it.

And one of them - the worst kind, a vapid, big money liar babbles about "change"?

He blew it, they blew it, and now the country blows.

The Republican party is gonna get slammed big time because of its cowardice and tolerance of guys like him.

James Carville: "It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing. Romney is an ascendant guy."

Dictionary.com Unabridged

Ascendant
-- a position of dominance or controlling influence: possession of power, superiority, or preeminence.
-- ascending; rising.
-- superior; predominant.

Romney -- a superior, dominant, influential, upward-rising kind of guy -- sounds good to me. And true. Looks like even Carville is right every now and then. He did after all marry Fred Thompson's campaign adviser, Mary Matalin. He can't be wrong all the time, right?

Position is important

Yes it is. Too bad you can't back up yours, considering you were criticizing lack of substance.

Wow,

CanaGuy provides you with a ton of evidence supporting his assertion and all you can do is call him a bigot?

Real intelligent on your part.

Not that I ever expected anyone to provide me with evidence.

My question was completely rhetorical.

That wasn’t an answer. That was a real bad excuse for excepting the word of someone who cannot be trusted because they will not be completely honest about their past actions and accept responsibility that they were wrong!

The most liberal Governor in the nation’s history...

This part might be a bit overstated.

Why tell the truth when lies are so much more fun, eh?

About 60% of your post is outright deceit, another 20% is fact that is twisted to suit your purposes.

I’m too tired of idiots who don’t care to go find out the truth for themselves, instead opting to believe every Internet rumor they can find from somebody with an ax to grind, to fuss with correcting you.

Get off your intellectual La-Z-Boy and get your facts straight before embarrassing yourself again.

Evidence? I must’ve missed that. All I saw was accusations.

"How many times are you going to ask the same question and then ignore the answer? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1899379/posts?page=25#25"

Better yet, as many times as it takes to get an honest answer!

So you agree with Mitt that Republicans need to change but you are mad at him for saying so?

One finds very quickly that most of what EV says in regards to Romney is, at least, a bit overstated.

~”Try reading the links included in the post. It might provide you with some insight.”~

I’m LDS, so I’ve naturally got significant insight into the matter. Can I post a few hundred links that flatly refute all the false accusations and specious claims made? Will you believe that? How about referring you to the tomes upon tomes that have been written about all of these subjects? Would you read them? Perhaps the word of the millions of faithful members of the LDS Church? Would you take that over the claims of the disaffected?

In my experience, people who evangelize such accusations are not predisposed to accept counter-evidence, so I must assume that your answer will be no. Such people prefer to accept those claims of others that advance their own world-view, despite a preponderance of evidence to the contrary.

Of course, I’ve got the benefit of first-person experience to inform my claim that the accusations in question are false. People who perpetuate such accusations are either ignorant (willfully or not) or liars. I leave it to God to sort out which is which.

The bottom line is this: Romney’s intelligence is being challenged on the false premise that his religion is a cult. That premise is false because the evidences used to support it are simply untrue. But, unfortunately, it’s more comfortable for some people to believe lies about us Mormons than to admit that they’ve been wrong. And a few of them seem to get some sort of perverse pleasure by perpetuating those lies.

It has been cracking me up for two days, it is perhaps the ugliest thing that I have ever seen.

For some reason it gives me a belly laugh every time I see it.
