Sally Field is still cute for her age, but like most in Hollywood is not playing with a full one.

Physically, she’s too pretty to play Mary Lincoln.

Mentally, of course, she fits the role like a glove.

What a shame. I thought they would have gone with Holly hunter in that role, since she and liam neeson read the letters of Lincoln and Mary together sometime ago on Cspan. They were absolutely superb.

Lincoln suspended Habeas Corpus for civilians, declared war without congressional consent, and issued a warrant for the arrest of the Chief Justice. But you will never hear about that in a history book.
