Miller Beer Ad Agency Has Connections To MoveOn.Org
Beer (& More) In Food ^ | 9-26-2007 | Bob Skilnik

Miller Beer has a connection to MoveOn.org: Most of MoveOn’s commercials are made by experienced operatives at a left-wing advertising firm in Santa Monica, California.

The firm of Zimmerman & Markman occupies a small suite of offices in a four-story building a few blocks from the beach. Bill Zimmerman, the agency’s strategist, has a PhD in psychology and got his start in politics registering black voters in Mississippi in 1962. He worked with Jane Fonda on anti-Vietnam War mobilization and has played a role in drug decriminalization campaigns. Pacy Markman, the agency’s copywriter, had a long career in commercial advertising (he wrote the indelible slogan “Miller Lite: everything you always wanted in a beer, and less”)...

My little project I’ve been working on makes even Miller beer taste better. But now I have second thoughts, so I’ll stick to other cheap beers.

Try some decaf, add more bran to your diet, and ask JimRob to change your login name. That’s what I did. Well, the login part, anyways.

>> Try some decaf, add more bran to your diet,

I’m quite sure I haven’t the foggiest idea what you’re talking about.

>> and ask JimRob to change your login name. That’s what I did. Well, the login part, anyways.

No need. I changed it on my own.

Not only are you tense,

but you are dense.

Changing your login with Jimrob, mate

means you keep your original login date.

I hope you include Bud/Coors in there with them they are no better.

Budweiser spokesperson Scott Longfellow explained his company's controversial pro-gay stance: "Well, we were just so fed up with all of the discrimination that 3% of our customers were receiving, and with Miller daring to support another similarly maligned group, we felt it was our duty to get behind a proud people - And coors is no better

Respectfully - I am neither tense, nor dense. I’m not really sure where you’re getting this “tension” idea from.

>> Changing your login with Jimrob, mate ... means you keep your original login date.

Thanks, Dr. Suess. Still, there’s no need. I’m perfectly contented as things are. I know my original login date, and use it as necessary when someone tries to pull rank rather than actually rebut my arguments.

as confirmation for my allegation towards coors

The City of West Hollywood recently passed a resolution commending the Coors Brewing Company on the advice of its Lesbian and Gay Advisory Council and on 2 June 1197, Christopher Street West, the sponsor of the L.A. L/G Pride Parade, among the world’s largest, is holding a public meeting to see if their organization should lift the ban on Coors products.

Sorry to hear they controll Pilsner Urquell, good beer.

Agree. Miller itself of course is awful.

For all, it is good to know the agencies associated with ads. There are a lot of subtle, subliminal messages out there. Anyone seen the AARP ad lately?

Calling Miller “beer” is an exercise in philosophy.

Miller also has some brands under its tent you may not be aware belong to them including: ... Pilsner Urquell

Hey! Don't get the cart before the horse. Miller doesn't own Pilsner Urquell. SAB-Miller, a multi-national conglomerate that originated in South Africa, owns Pilsner Urquell and Miller.

Miller Genuine Draft is a lot better.

>>Counter-example: If I get a ticket, I’m going to get a lawyer who probably has defended rapists, murderers, and other thugs. Does that make me a supporter of rapists, murderers, and thugs? Of course not, it makes me someone who needs a lawyer and whose money is green!<<

For that matter, the Last Supper has been parodied in everything from MASH to the 70’s show to the Sopranos. If conservatives boycott all the corporations associated with just those three parodies (not to mention the other 497 parodies) it would be a full time job just keeping up with whom to boycott.
