CHICAGO - Late on a balmy Friday night in Wicker Park, a gentrifying neighborhood just northwest of the Loop, a small tribe of 20-somethings gathers outside a corner bar. Their leader, a petite, energetic 25-year-old named Meghann Walker, hands out leaflets to people heading inside.
"Do you guys know Ron Paul is going to be in town tomorrow?" Walker asks a short-haired young woman in jeans and flip-flops. "There'll be a lot of good people there, that's for sure."

They are quite the motley crew of liberals, white supremacists, conspiracy theorists, libertarians, and teenagers. If it weren’t for their mutual hate of the war on terror and our entire political system, they’d be at eachother’s throats.

No doubt they'll sort that out after the revolution, during the power-consolidating purges.

They do have something else in common. Both Paulie “Constitutionalism” and ACLU “Constitutional Law” see our Constitution as license for enemies of America and a straitjacket for defenders of America.

No one has asked you to stay. Do not let the door hit you in arse if you leave. You and other Paulnuts are in the minority here. Most freepers including FR management do not support Paul. We realize what a danger and pathetic joke he is. He is not fit to be in Congress and not fit to be a member of the GOP with his views on the WOT and Iraq.

Ron Paul and his kooky supporters have said as much...that they hate the GOP, even more than they hate the dems, and are only using it as a vehicle to propel ron paul past the 1% mark in national polls (all the way up to 3%!)
You should read their forums...they basically insult GOP supporters in every other post, and then devise ways to either make the brainwashed neocon “sheep” vote for paul, or “takeover” the GOP by sending a bunch of college students to their meetings or outvoting republican passerbys in useless fair strawpolls.
To: Tears of a Clown

Wicker Park is probably the most leftist neighborhood in Chicago, at least in the areas where white people live.
I would guess that about 90% of Chicago's 9/11 Truthers live in Wicker Park.
