Howdy FReepers and lurkers
Here is a great chance for FReepers and patriots to have a great time, tell the stories, taste the great German food, genuine Spaten Octoberfest beer on tap and dance some polkas.
Enjoy the scenic ride and marvel at fall colors on the way to renovated MountainView Resort, 369 High Rd., (Cty Rd 41) Glen Spey, NY 12737 where NJ - NY - PA meet by the Delaware river On Saturday, October 6th, starting at 3 p.m.,
Special tables for FReepers with big FR will be reserved and informal meeting will start at 2:00 p.m.
More info and directions at www.MVresort.com
Check out this magnificent site by the FReepers, for the FReepers, for FRcamps, FRconventions and FRgatherings.
Let's get together, have a great time and map the strategy for converting NJNYPA to FReep country.

The Mrs. was in Munich for business last week, attended a few Beerfest events, and said even her Indian business counterparts ended up dancing on tables. I had to work. Daggone!

Sounds interesting! Don’t know if I can get my pirate I mean husband to buy in - he doesn’t like to leave the mountain much but I’ll work on him through the week ;-)

How far is this place from Port Jervis? I usually do a scenic drive along Route 23 to High Point at peak leaf season (usually about three weeks from now).

Don’t want to ruin the party but Spaten beer is generally regarded as the lowest quality one of the Munich brands. Augustiner is regarded as the top Munich brand by Munich natives.

I’m partial to Maisel’s Weisse and Schneider Weisse myself.
Can’t get Maisel’s in this country right now though.

How far is this place from Port Jervis? About 13 miles, take 97 W from Port Jervis, then 41 N at the bridge to PA. Drive along the 97 and Snake road with Delaware under and at fall color scheme is just breathtaking. Leafs are already turning along the roads. It was dry recently so it might be earlier this year.

Hi, Leo
Can’t get the link to work. Can you provide a hot link and perhaps pink again?
IF you have a PA network ping list, please add me.
To: HonestConservative
it should work
www.mvresort.com
or
www.verkhovyna.com
I forgot to mention that this year it is combined with motorcycle rally (it’s on the poster) where bunch of Ukrainian bikers go from MVresort to Soyuzivka (Kerhonkston, NY), have a snack lunch and then come back around 3 pm for Uktoberfest at MVresort.com

Spaten, Lowenbrau, Augustiner, Hacker-Pschorr, Hofbrau, I'm forgetting a couple.... they're all better than your run-of-the-mill American beer, which are generally like making love in a canoe....
...i.e., too close to f***ing water!
