After meeting with more than 50 ministers in Kansas City, most of them African-American, Sen. Hillary Clinton said today that "we could do a lot to solve many of our problems in our country if we actually listened to one another a little more closely."
The Democratic presidential frontrunner said she disagreed with some of the clergy on some topics, including such issues as abortion and gay rights.
But she said the meeting with ministers from around Missouri showed common concerns in education, incarceration and health care.
When it was over, the ministers said they were impressed.
"She's not going to carry this state without black clergy," said U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, a Missouri Democrat who helped organize the session.
The meeting followed an early afternoon fundraising event that brought in at least $250,000 for Clinton, according to one campaign estimate. The event had been rescheduled four times since its original date in May.
The New York senator arrived about an hour behind schedule.
During a 20-minute news conference, Clinton addressed other issues:
* Health care: "I learned a lot from what we tried to do in '93 and '94. I'm very proud we tried ... There's a great consensus building in the country to try and make some sensible changes." * Torture: "I think the United States should be very clear in our policies that we do not condone or conduct torture."
Clinton also pledged to campaign in Missouri if she is nominated by the Democratic Party.
"I want to run a national campaign," she said.
She will in one way another.
“Wake up black America, the democrats are killing you!”
To me, many of the black leadership in this country reminds me of the pigs in the book “Animal Farm.”
In the end they will sit at the table of “whitey”, take their money and favors while their minions starve, collect from the state and believe the crap thrown at them.
The ones who figure it out are “uncle Tom’s”.
I don’t get it.
Every time Hillary cackles, I feel like the first time I saw the Michael Jackson mugshot.
The Stalinists pretend that black folks are the salt of the Earth, and the black folks pretend that they believe that the act is sincere, and that they -the black folks - actually believe it as well. This act assuages guilt and shame at the same time. It is not only blacks who fall for this nonsense, but other block voter islands as well -food faddists, coffee shop prophets, anarchists, feminists, drug addicts, the irrational and the degenerate. If felons had the vote, kidnappers would rank very high indeed with the gimmicrat panderers.
“If felons had the vote, kidnappers would rank very high”
As of May 10, 2007 all 50 states allow felons to vote. Restrictions
apply in some states.
The two most restrictive are Kentucky, where voting rights can be
restored only when the Governor approves an application for an
executive pardon for reinstatement of voting rights from an
individual after completion of his/her sentence.
Mississippi, where An individual, after completion of their sentence,
must go to his or her state representative and convince them to
personally author a bill reenfranchising that individual. Both houses
of the legislature must then pass the bill, and the governor must
sign it. Each year about 10 to 12 people are re-enfranchised in
Mississippi.
25 states allow felons to vote after serving their sentences and
parole or supervised release, 13 states allow felons to vote as soon
as they leave prison, 2 states, (Maine and Vermont) allow
incarcerated felons to vote.
The other 8 states allow felons to vote with less severe restrictions
such as applying to county boards or waiting 2 to 5 years after
completion of sentence.

Cold Calculated that Ms. Clinton is.
Bill better watch his back as he may be seen as a road block if she gets to far along in the race.
Somebody invoke the O’Jays melody.
“They smile in your face, the backstabbers”
Chubachra with a cackle and hoofs
Sorry Hillary. Thanks for the photo op at the Portand Book signing. : O
LOL She sure does; but I don’t think he is going to go easily.
I think they are pretty happy with things as they are.
I met a black minister.
We are going to install carpet for them in his very, very small baptist church. Which is in the ‘inner’ city, or ‘hood’.
We did a job for him in his house, as well.
A very BIG home. He and his wife have a Cadillac SUV and another Cadillac.
His ‘partner’ in the church came over to visit, in a brand new ‘custom’ Z06 Corvette.
(It seems that starting up these ‘churches’ with government supplied ‘minority’ loans, and then running churches that take in ‘donation’s’, tax-free, while campaigning from the pulpit for Democratic causes, is a very PROFITABLE institution)
Congrats to The Hildabeaste, I guess. She's batting .333.
IMHO, the Federal Government has no business getting involved in either education or heath care.
It's almost unimaginable that she could be so close to winning the nomination in her party when approximately half the nation will do whatever it takes to prevent her from winning.
The powers aligning behind her seem to have no fear of what the American people think. That in itself is frightening. I fear we are facing decisions in the next year that are no less than what our patriot forefathers faced when they decided to break with Great Britain. The difference being we had could disagree with Britain and still feel a bond of kinship.
What I feel from clinton is no less than then enmity one feels towards the beast.
Rain on my parade -will you? I was just a going to say
that the bloody Margaret Sanger who taught the Third Reich
more about eugenics than most normal people would like to know—The founding mother of Planned Parenthood,Sanger—
used black preachers to promote her anti-Christian program
of “removing human weeds”.But you were more kind.
thanks for the graphic— Seem to recall the Dems formed the Ku Klux Klan to intimidate the blacks —and keep them
on the Democratic plantation. Going after them who might be
tempted to consider the Republican.something about a lynch mob might affect ones politics.
Carl Bernstein is chatting with the Friends on Fox, plugging his book on Madame H. and spinning such tales...how marriage and faith are most important to her...how her father was verbally abusive...her poor, poor mother had to stay with him...(so she should be president?) The biggest misconception? She really is NOT after power, but is a true public servant.
Separation of church and state?
Oh, this will be interesting. It will be the battle of the black preachers! Those supporting Her Heinous vs. those supporting Obama.
