Fred Thompson is within four points of Rudy Giuliani in the latest AP-Ipsos National Poll concluded October 3. Giuliani leads 27%-23%, a five point improvement for Fred from last month when he garnered 18% of those polled. Here are the numbers:
27% Rudy Giuliani
23% Fred Thompson
13% John McCain
11% Mitt Romney
7% Mike Huckabee
Hey, careful! My husband was a sailor back in the day before he became a Christian, and he spent a few nights looped....
:)
A drunken sailor could take offense at Mitt.
“Alan Keyes is at 2% and Hunter is stuck at 1% [same as the last polling in May].”
That’s sad...I think Keyes is pretty-weird in my books. Hunter looked a little out of place in that debate, but he’s a good guy. I wish he had taken a more engaging political road in his life...like a Governor of a small southern state.
It would have helped him incredibly in running, and I would definitely consider him, if that was the case.
There is a thread about Cynthia McKinney may run for President from the Green (?) party. That is going to mess the polling numbers up...
It gets hard to keep track of them all sometimes. PRS, you might have to reconsider supporting John Cox, or maybe a Cox/McKinney ticket? Is that wild enough? It makes me ill thinking of possible campaign graphics.
I know...I hate it, too.
I did it just the other day.
ROTFLOL!
I've been following your posts from the first one on this thread.
You are a HOOT! ;o)
I lost all respect for Keyes after he said he supported reparations. Hunter would make a great governor. He’s also whom I’ll be voting for in the primary (unless its close between Thompson & Guiliani—then I’ll vote Thompson)

What state are you in?
That seems like a respectable decesion. I think Hunter’s a good guy, but honestly...I think his chances are far too small. But I’ve voted for the underdog before, so I know the reasons behind it.
My bad ;-)
I live in North Carolina and alas we always vote for Republican president and a Democratic governor. We have a very conservative rural area here with liberal strongholds in Raleigh and a few other small cities (split relatively evenly here in Greensboro and in Charlotte). Our primary is late I believe so we’ll probably already know who the Republican nominee will most likely be by that point.
I know I’m always embarrassed when I do that.
It’s usually because I’m wearing my glasses,
and not my contacts.
But...hey...that’s just me. ;o)
You’re bad...again? lol
Try to make a point. Please.
Ron Paul isn't a perfect candidate and I will not be voting for him but some of the hit pieces put here by some 'conservatives' here just because he's against Iraq is ludicrious. Most have resorted to nothing but Ad Hominem attacks and outright false accusations (see the one where they said RP was in support of the UN when he's the most anti-UN candidate out there). This is a sign of a weak position and its sad that the leading conservative website would allow that kind of dribble in my opinion.
I’m in California, and it’s sort of neck-to-neck race between Rudy and Fred, imo. I just registered for my absentee ballet, as when I go to vote...I get wise remarks about voting to the right. Yes, I know that’s illegal on their part, but I live in the bay area.
If Fred win’s here, it’s a death blow to Rudy. If Rudy wins here and Florida, we could very well have a very liberal nomination. I hope fellow conservatives in California understand we can’t do the Arnold republican thing anymore...not on this level. Rudy is not acceptable.
It was a typo.
Do you not have a sense of humor?
It’s a state of grace..
No doubt...;o)
B..B..Bu...But what about all those articles that came out every day last week telling us that he's bumblin', stumblin', fumblin', and basically bombing out all over the campaign trail.
... and not to mention the fact that he has a "trophy" wife.
