Kos Moonbats-SCHIP family being Freeped!(We're "Swiftboating Them! ROTFLMAO!)
TCRLAF | 10-08-07 | ME!

Posted on 10/08/2007 1:49:08 PM PDT by tcrlaf

DEFINITION: Swiftboating; Speaking TRUTH in the face of Democrat Propoganda

The Idiots at Kos have a huge thread running on the exposure of the "SCHIP" family by Free Republic members, that Rush mentioned today, and it's utterly HILARIOUS!

They are freaking out that we would DARE to question thier "Facts"... "UPDATE #2 Whiskeyfire has a very informative blog on this too (hat tip nyseer courtesy of Atrios)

As the day goes on, bigger and bigger smear merchants are picking this up (including The Weekly Standard).

All are (of course) listing Free Republic as the mother source. This limits any culpability and fact checking of their own.

UPDATE #3 Michelle Malkin has this story up on her site, but she's done the extra step of going to Halsey Frost's business and quizzing his tenant on his political ideology. She also drove by the Frost home... ostensibly to see how much it was worth.

There are many points being brought up, amongst them whether it's right to bring children and anecdotes to a political debate.

I don't think that this is the issue. The issue is that the right wing, led by The Free Republic and picked up by Mark Steyn and Michelle Malkin are attacking the people that come out against their propaganda.

The Frosts aren't running for office; they are trying to live their lives after a horrible accident left their children with permanent disabilities.

Knowing the types of people that are involved in this Swift Boating, it's even more terrifying to know that this families personal records and address are going the rounds courtesy of Free Republic. If anything else happens to this family, I hope God will have mercy on their souls.

And then, we have the "lousy Freeper Troll"...

"the family likely did not purchase much auto insurance if they didn't purchase health insurance. They may have had minimum liability coverage which won't cover a week of ICU and a handful of surgeries. PIP insurance is usually a small amount - is 'no-fault' an unlimited coverage?"

How dare he insert things like FACTS into the discussion???

Just some insanity for you to peruse...

a) The formal similarity in the comments doesn't hide the relevant difference that most of what is said here about them is true, while most of what they say is false;

b) this case illustrates beautifully the left-wing attitude: make choices to please yourself that produce bad outcomes (like having 4 kids without adequate insurance) and then demand someone else pick up the tab.

Magnificent.

Heather does not have two mommies and penguins do not want same-sex marriages.... or whatever that crap is they liberals are teaching kids these days..."

Glad to see I’m not the only to think that. I spontaneously started singing “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” in my head.

You always know what a lib is going to do....It’s called projection.

They accuse their opponents of wanting to do what they are already doing.

Whoa there.....we're all on the same side here. I agree completely with the both of you.

I was only saying that it would be an easy spin for an unscrupulous Dem to turn this into a FReeper attack on the kid.

Never mind that it's the truth. We're picking on this "poor child" who's only crime is that "his parents can't afford insurance".

It just needs to be stated that we're interested in the facts of the story.....not the kid.

I'd imagine that the IRS is *very* interested in the facts of the story. I suspect that pretty soon, John Denver and company will be fairly unhappy that the Dems decided to use them as shills.

The control that conservatives espouse is self-control ... something the average lib doesn’t understand let alone practice.

“Every single idiot on KOS misses the point that they can find $40,000 to send kids to private school,”

It could be much less if they are on a scholarship or grant. Say merely $20,000, or even $15,000, or even “free” if they are truly poor and can write a mean grant proposal.

As for poor planning, if they managed to get scholarships, that’s planning. Driving around on ice in an SUV with no seatbelts or catastrophic medical, is indeed poor planning.

There are other financial details, though, like who owns the business in the building he’s renting out, how much money he really makes, and so forth. One of the grandparents is apparently quite well-to-do.

They can afford an SUV, and drive with no seatbelts, and apparently had little or no medical insurance with whatever policy they had (or, just wondering, did the insurance company limit coverage because of the lack of seatbelts for the kids?)

No mater who paid, it cost a bundle to save those kids lives and get them rehabilitation, as well as access to good doctors and nurses and equipment, and I’m glad they were in the USA where that sort of thing is possible. Someone told me that there are more CAT scanners in Southern California than in all of Canada (I can’t vouch for the accuracy).

I feel sorry for the kids, especially now that the parents and the DNC put them up as unassailable spokesmen for government health care.

For the price of the airline tickets for these people to come and be tools, the Hillary campaign could have personally provided them health insurance for several years

Damn. Good Point. And one that should be repeated, IMHO.

FReepers need to tread carefully, here. Don't want this to be construed as an attack on some kid (which it's not) rather than on the Dem power structure and the parents who were stupid enough to let the kid shill for the Dems and open their family up to public scrutiny (which it is).

Amen, bro. Want to spit all over O'Reilly for fishing for something outrageous? Don't give him a reason.

""the family likely did not purchase much auto insurance if they didn't purchase health insurance..."

Surely we can find out if they got hit by an illegal alien. If the cops covered it up, count on it.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Frost,

In this day and age liars are easily exposed. Just ask Mary Mapes and Dan Rather.

Democrats weren't "stupid enough to let the kid shill for the Dems," the Democrats used the kid as a human shield for just this purpose

Small correction to your correction....I said that the parents were stupid enough to do it. At the time, the Dems likely thought it a good move....hope that it blows up on them.

I wouldn't let a pol get anywhere near my kid. Even if I agreed with them! lol!

If they had not been brainwashed into believing that America owes them everything... perhaps they would have practiced birth control. Being dims... why didn’t they practice the dim solemn and holy right of abortion.

dims pi$$ me off... they care about kids like this so they can use them to advance the cause of communism... but 45 million AMERICANS killed while still in their mother’s womb... that is a dim WOMAN”S RIGHT TO CHOOSE... MURDER!!!

Last week, Kathleen Bush – Hillary Clinton’s once-proud and loud sister in arms—was sentenced to five years in prison on two counts of aggravated child abuse and one count of fraud. She also pled guilty to a separate count of welfare fraud for misrepresenting $60,000 in assets on Medicaid forms.

There's a number of 'Rat political hacks who must be quaking in their boots this very minute wondering how much traction the exposure of their latest poster child "phony" is going to gain.

I'd hate to be the poor b*stard who gets thrown to Her Heinous for having come up with this current bright idea.
