Conundrum Over Come-drum: Wk 91- Olney,MD 10-06-07: Operation Infinite FReep
Oct. 10,2007

Posted on 10/10/2007 4:55:57 AM PDT by trooprally

As the week rolled into Friday morning, a GREAT CONUNDRUM was in place. While the earth warmed, glaciers melted, stars aligned and liberals whined, the Olney FReep looked like it might be a bust with just the three of us. (Not really a bust, just put that in there for the trolls benefit. Besides, it rhymes).

FReepers lives were misaligned with Saturday's FReep. Bad backs, mid terms, family things, holiday jaunts, craft shows with mom, tootsie roll sales for the church, you name it, it was misaligned for the FReep.

After the last few weeks of record attendance by FReepers, FReeper participation this week was looking weak. But doing the standard "new" math, we had 30.

But hope floats, unless you are a liberal thinking the politicians elected last fall were going to cut 'n run, or at the very least, to cut funding for our troops.

From the Walter Reed FReep, Lurker George and Lurker Ethel said they would be there. They were willing to gave up several hours of their time with their Army son and fiance who were in town on a visit. And the "who can turn down a request" by [Mrs] T, and of course her sad eyes and droopy ears, helped. Except for that one FReeper who did turn down [Mrs] T. He will remain anonymous, but you know who you are. No more cigars for you buddy boy. :-))

So Saturday morning rolled around. By 10:30, our flags were deployed and the banners were up. We had our five FReepers getting the honks and waves that we have become accustomed to. We may have become accustomed to them, but we still deeply appreciate their recognition of our troops.

To our surprise, three American Legionnaires showed up. We were looking respectable opposite the dozen moonbats. Two of the Legionnaires were first timers to our little get together. They weeded though our multitude of signs and came out cheering, thoroughly enjoying themselves, wondering why they hadn't come out before. They promised to be back.

Both of the first timer Legionnaires received the Olney FReep Collage mousepad.

While we were enjoying our numbers, Sensei Ern showed up. Now the GREAT CONUNDRUM wasn't so great any more. We had nine FReepers, Lurkers and Legionnaires. A very respectable number, yes indeed.

The 9 Patriotic Supporters of our Troops included Legionnaires Frank, "Storm'n" Norm (first Timer) and Carl (another first Timer), Lurkers George and Ethel, Sensei Ern, VictoryNY, Mrs. Trooprally ([Mrs] T), and myself ([Mr] T).

Pictures are by [Mrs] T.

BELOW, the Olney Collage, put together by iMacMan. He will be back out with us, once the warm weather leaves us and the glaciers start forming again.

Enough of this talk, how about some pictures? No you say? Well I hope the Great Pumpkin passes by your house this year you knuckle head, yuk yuk yuk!! Jeez, I have to stop hanging around BufordP so much.

BELOW LEFT: VictoryNY enjoying ours and the troops supporters. BELOW RIGHT: She also once again used "Little Bull Horn" today. Moonbat telling the elder moonbat to turn off his hearing aid.

font color = "blue">BELOW LEFT: Just so I don't forget, [Mrs] T is also a member of the same Post as the three Legionnaires. They are Carl, "Storm'n" Norm, [Mrs] T, and Frank. Cindy_True_Supporter is also a member of their Post. BELOW RIGHT: Our right flank. Flank, I mean Frank, "Storm'n" Norm, Carl and me.

BELOW LEFT: Lurker George and Lurker Ethel. Good to see them in Olney. BELOW RIGHT: Lurker George with their special moonbat fly swatter. VictoryNY has a firm grasp on "Little Bull horn".

BELOW LEFT: Lurker Bill's left flank position being held down by Lurker George, Lurker Ethel and Sensei Ern. BELOW RIGHT: Legionnaires Carl and Frank

@@@ BELOW: Some Pics of our "most excellent" supporters.

BELOW: Token moonbat pic only because the guy in the yellow on the left was actually berating them. He stayed for about 5 minutes and had some irate arm movements. The two moonbat newbies holding the middle banner seemed really disinterested in the whole protest, especially when VictoryNY was using "Little Bull Horn". One of the "Quacker" moonbats showed up about 10 to start putting together their banners. Once again they learned a trick from the Master FReepers, come early to set up.

REMEMBER
Next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108 in Olney
NEW TIME - 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

But a lot of verbal engagement in Olney is always welcome.

Last week \/\/ayne posted his rendition of "Only the Lonely" on the Olney Thread. Not sure how many of you all saw it since it was at the end of the thread. \/\/ayne is one of my favorite posters on FR with his photoshopped pics and the like.

BY \/\/AYNE:

To the tune of "Only the Lonely"

Dum-dum-dum-dumdy-doo-wah
Ooh-yay-yay-yay-yeah
Oh-oh-oh-oh-wah
Only the Olney

Only the Olney (dum-dum-dum-dumdy-doo-wah)
See the moonbats I see tonight (ooh-yay-yay-yay-yeah)
Only the Olney (dum-dum-dum-dumdy-doo-wah)
Know those crazy fools ain't right (dum-dum-dum-dumdy-doo-wah)

Backwards protesters
Put horse before cart
Don't blame Saddam Hussein
For war start
But only the Olney
See Quackers
Tell lies
Only the Olney

Dum-dum-dum-dumdy-doo-wah
Ooh-yay-yay-yay-yeah
Oh-oh-oh-oh-wah
Only the Olney

Only the Olney
See fanatics, and their drool
Only the Olney
See the traitors, act the fool

Maybe tomorrow
Moonbats will change
And become patriots!
But thats the chance - you gotta take!
If you counter their brays
Only the Olney

You’re calling ‘em as you saw it last Saturday, are you?

With the signs always behind them, it makes a good back drop.

Thanks
