I’m trying to figure out why any self-respecting conservative would live in CA, NY or NJ.

More loony anti-gun laws from California. Leaving that place for Idaho is still one of my best decisions.

I was just down in Logan, UT yesterday and became aware of another issue. The supply of primers is severely backlogged. The sporting goods shop put in an order last month for small pistol primers. The factory says they may be able to fill it by February or March of next year. Following up on that news, I went to my local sporting goods store in Pocatello. Sure enough, there were no small pistol primers available for sale. I grabbed some more small rifle primers and large pistol primers...everything they had left in stock.

“I’m trying to figure out why any self-respecting conservative would live in CA, NY or NJ.”

Unfortunate circumstance. We are saving for and plotting our escape.

I am disappointed, but not surprised.

Hubby and I did make some calls and send e-mails regarding this. We tried.

The bill description states (in full and verbatim)...

“This bill would, commencing January 1, 2010, expand the definition of unsafe handgun to include semiautomatic pistols that are not designed and equipped with a microscopic array of characters that identify the make, model, and serial number of the pistol, etched into the interior surface or internal working parts of the pistol, and that are transferred by imprinting on each cartridge case when the firearm is fired.”

How does microstamping INCREASE SAFETY?

Will they now ban files, since microstamping can be defeated with a 2 dollar metal file?

Even if it wears down through a lot of use, it would be unreadable. Therefore, you will be charged as a criminal or at least have the gun confiscated.

Another nail in the coffin.

Some of us are staying behind enemy lines to try to take it back!

In 1982 California tried to ban handguns by a vote. It was a guaranteed win! HCI and Sarah Brady said so! Two to one for the ban was the polls showed!

After the vote, the gun ban was defeated two to one!

Since that time the legislators in Cali have been working overtime trying to subvert the will of the people by any means possible. This is just another one of those attempts.

He's stooped even lower than I thought possible... a truly amazing feat. LOL.

Damn! This is nothing more than a semi-auto handgun ban in disguise.

His wife is the daughter of Jack/Teddy/Bobby/Young Joe Kennedy's sister, iirc. The hand that holds the testicles steers the world.

Compromised form the git-go, but 'electable'.

Pay attention, Republicans, in 2008 and BEWARE! There is a lesson here.

Now, back to work on the death ray (no shell casings)...
