I don't get it. If he is running, why isn't he enthusiastic about campaigning? Thompson needs to put his heart into this and get down to business if he is serious about becoming President. He better to *un-conflict* his schedule and do what he says he will do.

How do you know he wasn't? Just another stupid hit piece.

The latest poll in New Hampshire shows Romney widening his lead slightly (woot!) and Thompson losing traction.

It’s that “lazy” thing he’s notorious for. Sounds to me he just doesn’t like to pander. These people just want someone to tell them what they want to hear.

He blew off the debate as well and went to the Leno show. Perhaps he figures NH is lost and he is resting up for another fight.

Let Fred be Fred or whatever that slogan is because he has already said he isn’t going to dance to anyones tune.

I can understand why he’s writing off NH. But you’d think he’d campaign more in Fla.

My earlier theory is that he was really running for VP, and with VP as his target, he did not need to campaign as aggressively as the front-runners. But you’ve got to show at least that you can deliver something to the ticket, and the best way to do that is to get out there and campaign aggressively. I don’t think he’s shown that he can do that yet.

Those who believed Fred Thompson was the answer to the Gop primary woes made a serious error in judgement. He didn’t clarify the field, he confused it even more.

Thompson is all over the place, raising money. I know; I saw him in Ft. Worth (where I happily gave him money).

This is just more BS from the MSM.

The newspaper suggested Thompson speak to McCain, “who knows a thing or two about winning New Hampshire primaries. You can't do it if you don't show up,” the editorial said.

Oh really Mr. Newspaperman? How did that NH win work out for Senator McCain in 2000? Uhh-huh. Thanks for playing.

Your state's primary is becoming less and less relevant. Expect it to be a non-factor in 10 years.

He may be thinking NH is a lost cause between Mitt and Rudy?? He will win the South and where he likely will focus.

Pray for W and Our Troops

I don’t think he’s going to last long. Would be happy to be wrong.

On a related note....?

Blurring the borders: Southern NH becoming more like Massachusetts and most aren't happy about it.

Campaign schedules get changed all the time. Fred will be on Neil Cavuto’s show this afternoon.

New Hampshire voters noticed. “He's a late entry. That will probably hurt him,” said Geri Gormley, of Bow, who visited with McCain but remains uncommitted. “We're grass roots. Candidates come up and pick our brains, one on one. We had (Barack) Obama's staff come to our door today. That's good strategy.”

We need to move away from Iowa and NH having such influence on the nominees of our party. These small states do not represent the demograhics of this country nor the political interests. The idea that these candidates have to grovel before these arrogant voters who need to be approached one on one is ridiculous in this nation of over 300 million.

It’s going to be painful as the truth slowly dawns. Thompson isn’t putting out the effort or raising the level of funds needed to maintain his standing in the polls. He will not be able to coast by on name recognition and star power and he is not the great hope he has been billed as.

All these ‘he’s waiting, it’s part of the plan, just you wait’ excuses will wear thin soon, then turn to questions like yours, then turn to the realization that Fred isn’t that they thought or wanted, then turn to anger at being mislead.

Total BS. Thompson was on Neil Cavutos show. He hasn’t disapppeared. I hope he does not. He is a far cry over RINO Rooty.

I hope Rooty’s fire burns out. He is certain death for the GOP.
