What’s in the water in Arkansas? The Huckster is just as big a nanny-stater as the ones who started it all-the Klintons. No, thanks-I’ll pass.

Huckabee may not be what we want in a candidate, but I wouldn’t by any stretch of the imagination compare him to two known criminals.

Huckabee is far far far superior to the Clintons.

"Huckabee is far far far superior to the Clintons."

Yeah, but that's also kinda like saying the guy that robbed the liquor store is better than Adolf Hitler.

His PR guy gets an A for this puff piece.

He might actually get some support--of socialists in Britain.

His nanny-state campaign gets an F in the heartland.

I’ll support your comment. Huckabee is a good man.

It’s kindof like saying two people were criminals and one person was a politician. As I stated before, Huckabee may not be the tyep of politician you can support, but he was not, is not, and I don’t see him ever becoming a criminal.

I think of him that way. I’m not in Arkansas so I don’t know him as well as they do. He may be left of center without me knowing it, but he is a solid citizen. I know of no instances where he has been charged with any malfeasance or criminality.

Problem is, while Huckabee isn’t as odious as a certain ex-Massachusetts Governor running for President, he did leave his state party in shambles and declining (zero statewide GOP officeholders and only 1 single Congressmember — a nearly complete collapse on his watch), in sharp contrast to virtually every other Southern state. His squishy position on illegals is also highly disturbing as well.

Jimmy Carter was a good man, but not a good President.

"Jimmy Carter was a good man, but not a good President."

Actually, he was neither.

Or maybe it's like saying Neville Chamberlain is better than Adolf Hitler, which is true on the face of it, obviously, but if you think deeper on the subject you come up with some inherent problems with the equation. The person who lets the wolves in through the front door is better than the wolves. I guess so. But wait a second. Is he?

Let me just put it this way, with respect to Huckabee, he rated more like a D- on an overall scale. If he had left before his last term ended, maybe a C. In fact, he was an “A” in his first term, so it shows how fast he jumped the shark.

And his open door policy for illegals makes his candidacy a non-starter in the R party.

“I don’t see him ever becoming a criminal.”

If you aid and abet criminals, you are a criminal.
He aids and abets criminals who over say their visas or just invade our country.

Isn’t that the truth. He’d like folks to believe he’s a good man, but he’s rotten to the core.

Wasn’t Huckabee an anomoly in Arkansas? Prior to him the place was a Democrat lock. The only reason he become governor in the first place was because the guy who followed Clinton was convicted of crimes and couldn’t remain in office.

I don’t see the validity of a claim that he screwed the place up. That place had been run like a criminal enterprise long before he entered the scene.

How many bodies were dropping like flies during his term in office? I can’t remember a single person having dropped dead within his inner circle.

Was he cheating on his wife? Did he subvert the state troopers? Did he benefit financially from land flips? Was he ever accused of raping women across the state? Did he every beat one of them severely? Did he bite any women? Was he known to have been using narcotics during his tenure in office? Did he sell state commissions for cash? Did he have the state medical examiner in his pocket? Did that medical examiner rule favorably against all evidence to benefit Huckabee, his family or friends?

Even with this list, I’m probably forgetting quite a bit. Look, Huckabee may not be our political hero, but compared to Bill Clinton and company, he’s F’n JC.
