He finally said something right

Sistah Souljah redux. You can bet your life that he parsed the politics of every syllable first. And that he had an idea he'd run into some laughingstocks like those demonstrators. His advance people don't play games, they know the ground first -- and he cuts them no slack.

I know. :)

I just wanted to take the opportunity to remind everyone that there’s a grain of truth there. 911 became a further tragedy than the actual event when our leaders refused to meaningfully deal with the causes.

While I don’t ascribe to the premillenial point of view, remember that the Clintons, particularly Bill, were disciples of Carroll Quigley. A brilliant man, but TOTALLY evil.

The beltway culture should have burned to the ground over that.

I'm with you. A hack like Jamie Gorelick, on a commission of inquiry? Please.

I'd have made "Chinagate" Jamie and Slick's pet Doberman Richard Ben Veniste my two Burning Man entrants that year, lit them up right there in the committee room.

lol!! I kept waiting for that to happen, but it never did.

That was a large part of my disillusionment with the Bush admin.

Never heard of Quigley. Talk to me. Got a link? Sounds interesting.....like a political Mephistophilis.

I always attributed Bill's political skills to 1) rushing beers in the back of those Hot Springs whorehouses where he grew up ("man from Hope", my patootie), 2) his years of grooming and cossetting in Arkansas' corrupt political "in club" as a Wonder Youth and 3) his later mentoring by Sen. Bill Fulbright, whom I suspected, back in the day, of being one of the KGB's men in the Senate. (We found out about Sen. John Tunney, D-Calif., later on, thanks to some guy's indefatigable dumpster-diving in KGB files several years ago, when Boris Yeltsin had them partly open for curious journalists and historians. I'm still curious about Fulbright -- and Bill Clinton, too, and all his Chinese friends.)

Because Bush and Clinton run the world just like a symphony and everything that happens in it is done according to a perfectly timed and executed plan.

It's all very nice for Bill Clinton to do this. Too bad his wife, who is running for President, doesn't do that as well. And too bad she treated General Petreaus so shamefully.

I wonder how hard Hillary will have to rub in order to get that Bill Clinton magic to rub off on her.

Why did they report that 7 fell before it fell?

Are you Rosie O'Donnell?

Are you hangin' upside down?

to-wit that I thought that Hillary, if elected, would return the favor by trying to get Bill elected General Secretary of the U.N.,

I thought the the Secretary General of the UN cannot come from any nation of the permanent security council?

But by choosing to confront the malcontents, rather than ignoring them, Clinton accomplished something noteworthy.

Sheesh. Doesn't townhall.com, and FReepers, know a plant when they see one?

Yes, people should be careful. And there was Bill Maher in a similar ‘incident’ last week.

And Hillary has tons of experience on the Armed Forces Committee making her a strong supporter of America’s military.

Be careful, there’s a ton of BS among the left.

I see it a little different.

“An inside job?” Clinton retorted, with indignation in his voice. “How dare you. How dare you! It was NOT an inside job!”

And to the person so cynical about America as to assert that our nation’s government perpetrated the terrorist attacks on its own people, Clinton’s message was quite clear indeed: don’t you dare say such things about our country My Presidency.

Reading this article, it sounds more to me like Mr. Bill was indignant at the gall of this unwashed heckler to show anything but the standard genuflecting behavior he and his little cookie-baking missuz have grown so fond of.

Not to worry, though, the bowing and scraping done by the writer of the article made up for that.

(...and no, I am not defending in any way the comments made by the heckler)

...Why were there reports of explosions from the buildings?...

Because most people have never heard a real explosion.

Many people thought the sounds of jumpers' bodies hitting the pavement was explosions until they realized what actually was happening.

Others, at the lower levels of the towers thought the sounds of the top floors collapsing was explosions.

Bill Clinton’s presidency was far from flawless...

Oh, let me count the ways...

However, what he said in this particular instance, albeit unwittingly, does more to destroy the veracity of the "troofers", than anything President Bush has done or said to this point.

But I remain convinced that the 'Toon says or does nothing that will not be to his advantage, therefore, what he said is reduced accordingly and he still sucks.

Bill's been seen hanging around the lobby of the U.N. -- Bush ran into him a few weeks ago (story here on FR) and said something about it to some other people. Slick was literally lobbying......he's got something in mind.

Maybe he plans to renounce his U.S. citizenship to "serve the world" so he can be eligible? Wouldn't put it past him.

Sad, most of the other topics it posts on are rather normal.

Maybe, but after that nutter post, any facts it'd present henceforth would carry all the weight of a popcorn fart.
