What would Paul do if he received a donation from a known member of NAMBLA? Would he still keep the money?

I mean anyone who thinks Ron Paul is racist, neonazi, Holocaust denier, whose majority support comes from felons and indicted drug dealers who’ve fled the country, is a fruit cake.

Being a life-long lover of fruitcakes, I have no problem being identified with them. It seems a far better relationship than that being offered by Ron Paul.

Anyone realize how importaint it is that Ron go third party to help Hillary? Bubba won with only 42% of the vote, thanks to Perot. And Hildabeast has 50% saying they WILL NOT vote for her no matter what. Someone will show up to Ron Paul’s aid ($$$) eventually so he can go third party.

If it's Clinton vs. Giuliani vs. Paul, I'll happily vote for Paul. Free Republic will allso officially become a war zone.

Thanks for the ping.

Paul sets an aggressive goal for the month of Oct and because he is short everyone is having a field day? I know at least a half dozen candidates that can use the 2.6 millions (estimate) for the month of Oct that he raised. Correct me if I’m wrong, but he did raise 5 million in the 3rd quarter. So he raised half of that in the first month in the 4th quarter. That is great.

McCain and Huckabee as well as Fred could use some of that cash.

Anyone interested enough to find out his views can do so.

I've done so. That's why I won't be supporting him.

He made between 80% and 85% of his target. That probably doesn't count what he raised himself at the $2000/plate fundraiser on 10/30. Those checks don't get posted that quick.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but he did raise 5 million in the 3rd quarter. So he raised half of that in the first month in the 4th quarter. That is great.

A hair over $5M. And he still had over $300,000 left on hand despite buying media, hiring a staff of over 35, renting headquarters in the early states, etc.

Most of his campaign workers are part-time and they aren't paid that much. So he's conserving the cash for radio ads with some TV and print.

On the October push, I notice that the money-bomb for 10/30 didn't really pan out. I think the big push for 11/05 money-bomb has lowered the October totals as some people were saving up for that.

Currently, fifteen thousand have signed up for 11/05 at $100 each. A lot of others didn't sign up but intend to give that day as well. So that should be another $1.5M-$2M.

He'll have enough money, at least for the first three states. And if he doesn't make some showing in one of those states, especially NH, then it is probably just not going to happen for RP. At that point, I tend to think he should go home and run for Congress again and everyone else should move to their second-pick GOP candidate.

But if he wins NH and fundraising remains strong, he'll keep going through the first 5-10 primaries, I think.

Lets hope we do not have to move to our second choices. My second is not doing nearly as well as RP. I signed up. Whatever he ends up with in terms of cash at the stroke of midnight, will be better than most.

I like supporting RP (because I have for so long before he became so controversial) but I am prepared to let the primaries speak. If RP gets traction, great. If not, move on to my second choices. By that time (after SC), only two or three other candidates are likely to be viable and they will like be Rudi, Mitt, Fred. And I'll pick the guy most likely to beat Rudi in FL and elsewhere.

Since he doesn't allow racists, neonazis, Holocaust deniers, or even truthers to post their nonsense here, it's fair to say he's a fruitcake by choice, not association.

You know that FReepers here who support Dr. Paul & the majority of Paul supporters aren't part of your aformentioned groups.
