Another poll with Rooty holding onto a slight edge over Fred. Conservative folks better wake up before its too late. Either liberal Giuliani gets knocked off in the primaries, thus giving the GOP a fighting chance with Fred, or we’ll be stuck with a Democrat in the WH. Not a pleasant thought. Keep both liberal front runners, Rooty and Hillary, out of power.

Well, if it talks like a duck and sounds like a duck, one assumes it is a duck. You might want to watch how you quack, as you are the one who called us FRedbots, duckie.

I didn't specifically call you a Fredbot, I just warned the earlier poster that she might expect some to visit her ... Me thinks thou dost protesteth too much.

Yeah, well, Mitt would like to be where FRed is..

And would say or do or promise anything to get there.

Slick Willard is a blight on the GOP.

I think everyone should give tomorrow after Fred gives what I predict will be a great performance on Meet the Press. He will do well because, like Reagan, he knows what he believes and can simply answer the question truthfully. What is more, his sincerity comes through. The camera does not lie.

Mitt and Rudy have no real core beliefs and they have to formulate their answers on the fly, always thinking about how the answer will impact them politically.

Are there even Freeper conservatives willing to vote for a Mittwit like Romney? Can’t they see him as the big RINO that he is? Are they really Mitt supporters just signing up to FR to pump up their candidate?

Considering he’s kicking Widestance Willard’s sorry flip-flopping RINO ass in this poll, the honeymoon must be over for him as well. But I wouldn’t expect a Widestance Willard fangirl such as yourself to capable of following that logic.

This poll reflects what every other poll in the past week has reflected. Different numbers, but same conclusion. Fred went from 32% a month ago to 26% in this poll a decrease of 6%.

During that same time period Mike Huckabee went from 3% to 7% (+4), and Mitt almost doubled his numbers from 9% to 17% (+8). Although Mitts numbers where much lower in this poll compared to others, it tells me that Fred is losing his support to Huckabee and Mitt. So I tend to agree when looking at ALL the polls in the past weeks, including the vaunted Rasmussen, the honeymoon with Fred may be over. In every single poll he is back down to his pre announcement figures.

Rudy's been running, for how long now? Almost a year? or more? He never seems to be able to garner more than 30%-ish support among us. I don't believe he ever will. Fred got into the race because lots of Republicans were not satisfied with the candidates who were running. He has not been in the race very long, hasn't spent near the money that the others have & he is already in 2nd place.

Fred showed great patience in entering the race at his own time, on his own terms. Once the other lower tier candidates start dropping out and McCain as well, those numbers are going to change radically. Thompson is looking like the one that can knock Rudy out of the primaries. I'm still holding out hope that Duncan Hunter can pull off a miracle - but I have no objection whatsoever - to voting for Fred if Hunter isn't able to pull up in the polls.

I won't waste my vote come primary time on someone that can't win - soon, some of us will have to make a tough decision. Will we hold out for the best candidate even if we know he won't get enough votes to beat Rudy? Or will we once again have to compromise and vote for the candidate that can beat the liberals - Hillary! & Rudy! A race between those two will be our worst nightmare & we need to do everything to keep that from happening.

Fred can unite the party.

This is a poll of adults, not voters, much less voters likely to vote in the primaries. If, like Rasmussen, you screen for these things, it puts Thompson closer to Giulani.

During that same time period Mike Huckabee went from 3% to 7% (+4), and Mitt almost doubled his numbers from 9% to 17% (+8).

??? What polls are you smoking? Huckabee is picking up a few points from Thompson, but Mitt has been stuck in the mud for a long long time. With the exception of a few states Mitt has poured millions of dollars into, Mitt is not doing all that great and if anything is losing ground nationally to Rudy.

I think Mitt would just like to have all his misspent money back, so he can hire new illegal lawnmowers and buy a new dog...

And buy a real gun, and git a real license and go hunting for real. You know he has said he is a lifelong hunter....

He is also loyal to his defrocked pedophile priest friend, he even gave him a job.

Rudy is hemlock to the Republican party.

I would tend to think that as the 2nd tier conservative candidates drop out the majority of their support will go to Thompson while most of McCain’s support would go to Guliani. I would gather that we’re looking at a Guliani-Thompson battle. Then when Huckabee drops out the majority of his support would go to Thompson. But hey whatdoiknow. LOL!

Although Mitts numbers where much lower in this poll compared to others, it tells me that Fred is losing his support to Huckabee and Mitt.

It also tells me that most people polled are quite fickle and very susceptible to media influence. The media is pushing Huckabee lately like there's no tomorrow - I believe because they saw Fred rising in the polls and they didn't like what they saw. Huckabee's a RINO, but they've been pushing him like he is the answer for the religious right.

Conservatives who don't want to have to vote for a liberal in the general election better wake up & start lining up behind a candidate they can live with & one who can win!

“Huckabee is picking up a few points.......”.
I don’t believe people understand his wide open borders position yet. He’s strong on abortion and at least gives lip service to the pro gun positions. Other than that he’s an outright Liberal nanny stater.

The issue singly most important to me is Illegal Immigration. Rather than split the vote and vote Hunter, I will vote for Thompson because I believe he is on the right side. I will never vote Rudy.
