On his daily radio talk show, Glenn Beck portrays himself as an average guy, a recovering alcoholic and a comedian who regularly injects humor into his conservative politics.
This week he can add another description: very wealthy.
Premiere Radio Networks, a subsidiary of Clear Channel Communications, is expected to announce today that it is extending Mr. Becks contract.
Two sources with knowledge of the deal said it was valued at
$50 million over five years,
through a combination of salary and profit-sharing from syndication.

Anyone know what Glenn’s previous Premiere contract was worth? How much of a raise and improvement in terms did he get?
If I could just get this d@mn duct tape off my hands long enough to applaud.........
WIOD (SE Florida) just moved him to 9pm-midnight too. How stupid. They put some sports announcer in that slot. I called and complained.
On his show a few weeks ago Glenn said he wouldn’t sign a long term contract with Clear Channel...until he found that the suits stood up for Rush, even though they may or may not agree with him, during the “phony soldier” fiasco.
Of course Glenn in his ADD way took longer saying it.

Both Rush and Beck are syndicated and own their shows. Therefore, they run their own business, pay the expenses, staff salaries, etc. They keep the profit.
can he play shortstop ?
Only to the NYT is making money something evil. Of course, it is only evil when conservatives make money. When liberals make money it is cause for celebration.
As long as you are complimenting Mr. Beck, deservedly so, take some time to purchase the Ramos/Compean fundraising T-shirts at his site.
Go Glenn!
Sounds like the NY Slime may be a tad bid jealous.
At least you get him. Neither Beck nor Laura Ingraham are on the air in Raleigh/Durham, NC AT ALL. We get stuck with stupid Clark Howard in the 9-12 slot, Rush 12-3, local guy 3-6, and two hours of Sean Vanity tape-delayed 6-8.

His radio show has always been
a jewel of creativity. He was
my daily companion on the morning
work drive when I lived in Tampa
and he started his show there.
I would have to just about pull
off the road, I’d be laughing so
hard at some of his routines,
especially the “head duct taping”
bits. He’s just naturally funny
and creative.
And his lyrical tributes with music
to America, American patriots and
values, would have me in tears ..
they’re priceless and so moving.
He’s had an amazing rise to the
top ... and he’s worked for every
bit of it.
God bless him ..I’m very happy for him.

Hold onto your humility, your faith
and family, Glenn ... you’re the bomb!
God bless you.
We lost Laura Ingraham in my market to make way for Dennis Miller’s new show. I like Dennis, don’t get me wrong but I miss Laura.
I didnt know that Glenn was a recovering alcoholic. Its good to see that recovery can and does work and that people can recover from addiction and go on to lead productive lives. Good for him!
I like his show because, like Rush, he makes me laugh and he also makes me think.
He’s passionate, for sure. Glad for him!!
Well, the General designed it!
Well Rush does make 3 times that....
Go on ya, Glenn! Take the liberal’s money and trun it to conservative use.
Hannity can't do that and Rush can't do that....Rush and Hannity let leftist go on, and on, and on.....
