With Hillary everything is a federal issue. Here is her exact quote:
“I think the fact that governors are being forced into this position is really unfortunate. They should not be making immigration policy. The federal government should be making immigration policy and that’s what I’m going to try to do as president again and I do not believe that in the context of federal immigration reform that that would be an issue that governors would have to contend with.”

I did miss it, so thanks for the ping. Definitely a Freudian slip. Plus giving the same evasive answer again is not helpful to Her Royal Thighness' cause.
Contrary to HRC, governors don't have to contend with the issue, certainly not the way Spitzer has, which is as a ploy to get illegal immigrants registered to vote via the disastrous Motor Voter law!
The federal government should act, and one initiative would be to repeal Motor Voter now! Of course, if you expected HRC and Spitzer to endorse that, I've got a bridge to sell you.
