So of Course Democrat Congress response to these poll numbers by doing the only thing they have been doing since January and continue to fight with Bush over Iraq.

I think it takes a constitutional convention to have this happen.

Or a revolt by the goverened who are fed up with political elites who pontificate on their personal agendas . . . . . . . all the while Rome is burning!!

“A year later, Americans are as negative about the job Congress is doing as they were leading up to the 2006 midterm elections.”

They put this in the intro without any review of what the numbers actually were in Oct 2006 ?? It seems to me like Congress’ approval ratings are significantly worse than they were a year ago, not roughly the same as implied.

I actually heard some talking head over the weekend attempt to make just that point....that Congress' numbers are in the toilet because of Bush somehow.

The talking head was suggesting that if Bush would only sign the war-ending ammended bills and then resign from office (with Cheney going too), Congress would be freed up from the responsibilities of tacking the anti-war stuff onto bill after bill (I think we're over 40 now?) and having to investigate Bush's shoes and socks.

No, it could happen if every congresscritter got voted out at once. In theory, it’s possible, but can you see Maxine Waters getting voted out by her constituents?

LOL! The Democrats have succeeded in doing in several months what it took the GOP 12 years to do. Congratulations!

If only Congress was more LIBERAL, then their numbers would go up.

That’s the media thinks, that what Congress thinks.

Yeah I wonder what these people that want “fresh, new faces” would feel if their favorite congressperson was tossed out with the rest? They better be careful of what they wish for, huh? ;)

Anyone else notice that there have been no new poll results on the over all job approval of the ratHouse? I don’t believe there have been no polls. I believe zombie and pew are sitting on a bad one.

Unfortunately, I think the Dems will keep the Senate. To many GOP Senators retiring.
