MOSCOW (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that Russia's nuclear forces must be ready for an adequate response to any aggressor and warned Moscow could not remain indifferent to what he termed NATO's "muscle-flexing."

Putin, speaking to top generals less than two weeks before December 2 parliamentary elections, said the NATO military alliance had built up its forces close to Russia's borders.

"We cannot allow ourselves to remain indifferent to the obvious 'muscle-flexing'," Putin said, RIA news agency reported.

He said Russia's strategic nuclear forces -- its long-range missiles -- should be ready to deliver a "swift and adequate response" to any aggressor.

Has Putin been attending the “Chavez School of Diplomacy”?

Somebody needs to help me here.
Didn't we show them that we were nice people?
Didn't we show them that we didn't mean them any harm?
Didn't we show them that we were just like they were and that all we wanted was peace?
With all their saber ratting I don't think they got the script on how their suppose to be nice too.

“Germany is prepared to defend itself against any attack by Poland or France”

Folks, things are starting to get spooky in Russia.

Uh...NATO includes the U.S., who are the target of the message, which is to not attack Iran.

Gay Russians claim bare-chested Putin as one of their own

When Vladimir Putin stripped down to the waist for the cameras, his muscled torso made headlines around the world.

And one week on, the ripples are still being felt in Russia, where he has become a sex symbol, the inspiration for men to start pumping iron, and the new darling of the gay lobby.

Few could have predicted the explosion of gossip and speculation that followed the publication of the pictures, taken while the president holidayed with Prince Albert II of Monaco in the Siberian mountains.

Yesterday, the Russian mass-market newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda published a huge colour photo of the barechested president, under the headline "Be Like Putin".

The picture illustrated a guide to the exercises needed to build up a torso like that of the Russian leader.

The paper reported that women who visited its website posted comments on Putin's "vigorous torso" and said they "were screaming with delight and showering him with compliments."

Russian gay chatrooms and blogs were particularly intrigued by the photos.

The Rusians cannot get out of the Cold War era.

Actually I think they've made a nice smooth transition from the mighty empire of the USSR to half the future force of the GOG-MAGOG alliance of the AntiChrist. They're getting all tuned up to dance with the Prince of Darkness. According to the Bible that force is supposed to field an army of some 250 MILLION. If Putin's group of ruffians is Gog, then Magog has got to be.....CHINA.

I wonder which presidential candidate Putin is hoping to become next US president? And who will be his successor? I doubt Putin is going to go quietly into retirement, his nation needs him like ours needs the Clintons.

From the sounds of this article he would be rooting for one of these international talking diplomats. Richardson did do a fine job talking US through N.Korea, even is up for a peace prize as reward.

This blog I snipped says Russia has been training China in advancing their space program from the training we have been given them with NASA.

http://blog.barofintegrity.us/2007/10/23/chinas-space-program.aspx

>>>The terms, according to Nasa, mean different things but, according to the Russians (and us), they mean the same thing.

Oh, this is all so confusing. All right, all right, let us start over again.

You might not know this, but there have been a lot of unhappy rumblings in Malaysian society regarding our paying the Russians buckets of money – the amount of which the Malaysian public is not 100% sure about – to train a bloke to be a spaceman (as accurate a definition I can think of, because he is a man and he is in space). <<<

Things have BEEN spooky in Russia. I’m afraid that most of you have been sleeping or not paying much attention.

Do you see that link down there in my tag line? I suggest you start visiting. Don’t have to post, just go read from time to time. We collect all the data we can on places like Russia, North Korea, etc.

If you’re just now noticing Russia, then you’re well behind the times.
