The only hope for the United States at this point in history is to have people refuse to accept the lesser of two evils.

I will never throw my vote away again like I did for GWB.

America will continue to decay and become another footnote in history with the present system of elections and the programed mindset of voters.

It is amazing how well trained most of you folks have become. You are just sheep every 4 years.

So you better vote for Rudy or you will get Hilary...

Is is warm ans cozy in the back pocket of the RNC?

I won’t be the one helping. It’s a question that those that aren’t willing, for whatever reason, to give America a real choice might want to reflect on though. Not to preach but I put my faith in God..not man. If it is His plan to put her in office then I know He will help us through all the hardships. I’ve said this before but I’m praying for grace and not what we may deserve.

f any conservative stays home on election day they will get what they deserve.

If the Republicans don't raise up a Conservative nominee, they will get what they deserve.

People hate to be confined by someone else’s beliefs.

That is just silly. There are always someone's beliefs being promoted. There are as many zealots in the middle as there are on either end. Just because they are in the middle is no claim to righteousness either, in fact the compromise is usually made by the compromised.

Like Bob Dylan said, "You have to serve somebody".

You are so right. If republicans stay home because the party repudiates conservative values, the democrats will win and that is exactly what happened in 1976 when some republicans could not support the Rockerfeller republican, Gerald Ford. Carter won and the party turned to a real republican in 1980 and the rest is history. I am conservative first not a republican first. And I will not knowingly vote for another “me too” republican ever again. I will be examining the republican candidates a little more thoroughly than I did in 2000 when a candidate posed himself as a Reagan republican. We found to our amazement that he either had no idea what Reagan stood for or he was lying through his teeth. He allied himself with Kennedy time and time again. He spent more money on social welfare programs than his democrat predecessor, he has thrown his support to the illegal invasion of this country by aliens right in the face of republicans who believe that laws are to be enforced and that the chief duty of the president is to protect the country especially in time of war.

Saying no to both is no doubt a choice you have regards who to vote for.

However, I submit, it is not a choice that is available to make regards the next president.

In reality, the "choice" you are given is not whom you would like or dislike as a US President, but more frankly, of the two from whom one is most assuredly going to be the next president, which do you wish to support?

That’s why the nomination is so important. It’s not too late to support someone else. Once the decision is made though many people will have to decide to vote “neither” It doesn’t have to come to that.

Real Conservatives do not sit home.

Right! Real Conservatives vote for real Conservatives every_time. Just as I will do.

My question is: is it worth throwing all the other “lessers-of-two-evils” overboard and taking the risk. In other words, does the cost-benefit ratio pay out? (i.e., Hillary downside risk vs. pro-life upside risk).

The risk is in supporting a Pro-choice Republican.

Well I for one will sit home if Hunter or Tancredo don’t get the nomination. Than when Hillary takes over the White House I am going to bitch piss and moan the loudest.

This is the most ridiculous strategy I have ever heard. Stay home and you deserve Hillary. Get out and vote against her, even if you write in Hunter or Tancredo. Then and only then do you have legitimate bitching rights.

Agreed,

Prior to the general, we must do everything in our power to help our choice. Hopefully, the "best" gets the nod. We only differ as to what qualities the "best" must have. :-))

In the general, there are only two choices, and "none of the above" is not one of them.

"Right! Real Conservatives vote for real Conservatives every_time. Just as I will do."

And if you don't have a "real" conservative for the Republican nomination, how does your theory work out?

They won’t — they’re far more practical, far less emotional.

Cindy, you are so right. He helped us endure Carter, and thereby brought this nation together in the resulting election of the first real conservative in generations.

“Not to preach but I put my faith in God..not man. If it is His plan to put her in office then I know He will help us through all the hardships.”

Surely you heard: “God helps those who help themselves”.

And briefly a joke, that happens to be appropriate here.

There is a flood and a man is stuck in his house, he goes up on the roof and prays to God to help him get out alive. The water keeps rising. A boat comes by and offers to take the man to safety. He refuses, saying that God will save him. Then another boat comes by, now the water is almost to the roof — same conversation. Then finally he is barely hanging onto the chimney, as the water continues to rise. He continues praying fervently, asking God to save him. Then a helicopter appears and offers him to lift him up to safety. The man refuses, saying that he believes that God will save him. Finally the water rises more, and the man drowns. When he gets to Heaven, he asks God, “I have always been a devout Christian, and even now I kept praying, why didn’t you save me?”

God answers: “Who do you think sent you the two boats and the helicopter?”

God helps, but man and woman must do their part.

What do you think will happen, when President HuFrudyMcRomsonbee Hillary, supported by the overwhelmingly Dem Congress stuffs the Courts with liberal activist judges? Will you be proud that you helped him her? How does that help the conservative anti-abortion agenda?

In the general, there are only two choices, and "none of the above" is not one of them.

So, you are advocating a republican-first, conservative-last approach? Is there ANY issue that would change your mind? ANY issue on which you have a core value you are not willing to pimp out for the R party?

This kind of slavish devotion to party is frightening.

“Sen. Clinton said, “Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you. We’re saying that for America to get back on track, we’re probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.”
