Fox News Channel dominated the all-news network ratings battle in November, while rival CNN saw the biggest ratings decrease in the all-news category.
FNC averaged a 0.7 total-day rating in November, according to Nielsen Media Research numbers, flat with the same period in 2006. CNN averaged a 0.4 rating, down 20%.
MSNBC (0.3 total-day rating), CNBC (0.2) and Headline News (0.2) were all flat compared to this time last year.
>>>CNN own sister network, Headline News, beat it in the morning period. HLNs Morning Express with Robin Meade averaged 130,000 viewers in the adults 25 to 54 demographic, up 27% from November 2006.

Don’t worry, the FoxNews bashers will be here shortly to whine about how Fox doesn’t parrot their every thought and belief.
Small wonder that CNN has just recently begun to employ a very few “conservative” commentators, albeit grudgingly.
People finally catching on to what a crap network CNN really is?
O’Reily has been on top for 7 straight years, that is pretty impressive.
What does surprise me is how miniscule all of their ratings are .02? .01?
My goodness, there are more people attending a Michigan Home game then watch those channels in that time slot.
Maybe another rigged debate will help their credibility ... BwaHahAhAhA
Oh please. Fox has liberals as bad as any CNN can come up with—Geraldo for one. O’Reilly might not be a bonafide liberal, but he darned sure slimed FR—just as falsely as any liberal channel would have done.
CNN is dead. The new era is arriving. My kids are aware of the bias.
Good luck liberals and any republicans that think that they can lie.
Check again.
Check WHAT again? Are you denying that O’R and/or his staff lied through their teeth about what was on Free Republic? Maybe YOU should check again.
I never said FoxNews doesn’t have liberals. And you pretty much confirmed the point I was making. There are those here that will slam FoxNews because every word all day long is not strictly conservative.
I was upset with OR on the FR piece but he does a lot of good stuff on his show. I watch him once or twice per week, will keep doing so.
No surprise at all. Only moonbat leftwingnuts bother with Chris Mathews at MSNBC, or that idiot Olbermann.
CNN? Soooo last century.
It continues to amaze me that those in the liberal media are willing to sacrifice their very livelihood and the health of their companies to push their left-wing/Marxist agenda. One wonders if the stockholders of the likes of CNN, the NYT, WP and LAT actually need the money. They are certainly watching it be thrown overboard in buckets by their lefty employees.
The traditional Nielsen ratings model doesn't really translate well to cable news. The ratings measure the average number of people who are watching for at any point in the hour, but a lot of folks pop into the news nets for a quick update and then move on to something else. The ratings don't accurately reflect the number of people who watch in short bursts.
I agree with you that Fox has it’s liberal commentators. Are you really saying that there is no difference between CNN and Fox? Have you been watching CNN?
This is a mute argument.
Put it in context. They just don’t believe there are so many people who do not have the same beliefs as they do. It’s like the socialite from NYC who said she couldn’t believe Nixon won in a landslide because she didn’t know ANYONE who voted for him.
Liberals live in their own very little world.
TSL should be a bit more accurate with cable I would think, if the Neilson homes pop in and out, it should be no different I would think.
Stupid of CNN to pull this latest debate fraud. It will only cost them viewers. But apparently they are more interested in pushing their agenda than surviving the ratings battles.
To use your own words—CHECK AGAIN. My post said nothing about about Fox being the same as CNN. But to say Fox has no bias shows faulty thinking. Yes, O’R throws us the occasional bone, but if you watch Fox carefully, you can detect a leftward slide, especially if you compare it to how it was several years ago. This isn’t just a matter of allowing a liberal voice, which probably they should do (although liberals have a “voice” on every other channel on teevee, so why do they need yet another one?).
Nevertheless, I do rejoice in seeing CNN’s Titanic act. One down, so many more to go.
